The officialJujutsu KaisenTwitter account released updated print numbers for the manga’s serialization, revealing that the series will reach more than 60 million physical copies printed and digitally sold with the release of volume 18 on December 25th.
The series’ numbers were last updated on October 4th, with the release of volume 17. At the time, circulation numbers were around 55 million, signifying some quick growth in a short amount of time for theincreasingly popular manga.

With the updated numbers,Jujutsu Kaisenhas now eclipsedGintamaand has reached similar levels of success as popular sports mangaThe Prince of Tennis. The manga is currently outselling popular ongoing franchises likeMy Hero Academia,Tokyo Revengers, andOne-Punch Man.
Gege Akutami’sJujutsu Kaisenis serialized inShueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jumpand began its run in 2018. The manga’s success inspired an anime adaptation two years following its debut, and the series has won a variety of awards during its short run.
MAPPA produced an anime adaptation that aired during the Fall 2020and Winter 2021 seasons. The series ran for 24 episodes and is directed by Sunghoo Park, who also worked onThe God of High School. Hiroshi Seko served as the series’ screenwriter and has worked on notable series such asMob Psycho 100,Attack on Titan,and the upcomingChainsaw Mananime adaptation.
Akutami released a shortone-volume seriesthat precededJujutsu Kaisenin 2017. Titled,Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical Schoolwhen it was released, the manga was retroactively renamedJujutsu Kaisen 0.The series ran in the Jump GIGA magazine from April to July, and a film adaptation produced by MAPPA is set to come out on December 24th. Park will return to direct it and Seko will once again serve as screenwriter.
Viz Media publishes theJujutsu KaisenandJujutsu Kaisen 0in English. Crunchyroll streams the series in English, though no plans to distribute theJujutsu Kaisen 0film outside of Japan have been announced yet.
