Twitchstreamers are no strangers to drama, and personal beefs can get ugly when left to fester online. However, some internet personalities seem willing to rebuild bridges after burning them. The repairs are happening surprisingly quickly when it comes to the recent drama betweenTwitchstreamers Jidon “JiDon” Adams and Imane “Pokimane” Anys.

Last month, Pokimane ended a stream early afterJjDon incited his audience to engage in a “hate raid,”spamming her Twitch chat with hateful and inappropriate messages. One might expect that to trigger a lasting feud between the two streamers. However, the pair surprised everyone by announcing their upcoming collaboration.

JiDon announced this collab in a tweet on February 3rd. It contained a picture of him and Pokimane sitting on a couch together eating fast food with the caption, “Ask me and Poki questions.” JiDon,who is still banned from Twitch, later streamed a short explanation on Instagram, saying, “I don’t like beef. I’m a chill dude… If you have a disagreement with a person, it can always be mended.” He also informed fans that his Pokimane collab will take place in “three to five weeks.”

For her part, Pokimane said very little about the upcoming collab. Her only direct comment was a tongue-in-cheek tweet reading, “It’s bigger than black and white.” It’s also unclear if collaboration between the two streamers will extend beyond the upcoming Q and A video. However, it hopefully represents the beginning of a more civil relationship.

For anyone who missed last month’s drama, on January 13th JiDon encouraged his viewers to raid Pokimane’s Twitch stream. His fans quickly flooded the other streamer’s chat, berating her and starting vitriolic arguments with Pokimane’s viewers. The situation only escalated from there, with Pokimane receiving weeks of online harassment from the other streamers’ fans. JiDon’s behavior eventually led to Twitch permanently banning him from the platform. The escalation continued when other Twitch streamers began taking sides, withNinja threatening to sue Pokimaneafter the latter was led to believe he had contacted Twitch about JiDon’s ban.

While it’s impossible to know JiDon’s thoughts, his actions seem to poke holes in his claims about not liking drama. His behavior led some, including fellow Twitch streamer Mizkif, toaccuse JiDon of misogyny. However, JiDon pushed back against that allegation, claiming that his issues with Pokimane are entirely personal. However, there’s no denying that many of his comments had sexist overtones, calling her fans “simps” and suggesting she’s only famous because male viewers find her attractive.

JiDon has since apologized to Pokimane and distanced himself from the more toxic elements of his fanbase. However, yesterday’s announcement still threw many people for a loop. However, Pokimane’s tweet indicates that there may be additional context fans don’t know about. Hopefully, their viewers will get some good answers when the collaboration stream goes live sometime in the next several weeks.
