Summary

Invincibleseason 2has provided a first official look at Angstrom Levy, one of Mark’s greatest enemies from the comics and one of the villains for the show’s second outing.

Invincibleseason 1 was a huge success, and although it was renewed for seasons 2 and 3, fans have had to wait patiently, as the second season has taken a while to release. Luckily for fans, series creator Robert Kirkman has given many details and hints of what to look forward to in the upcoming season. In June, Kirkman confirmedAngstrom Levy wasInvincibleseason 2’s main villain, saying, “Some large or small aspect of Season 2 focuses on the Angstrom Levy character.”

Now fans have gotten an official first look at how Angstrom Levy will look inInvincibleseason 2. The official X account forInvincibleposted these photos of Levy (voiced by Sterling K. Brown). The images show Levy before and after the accident that disfigured his face.Angstrom Levy has the power to travel to alternate dimensions, which can be seen behind him in the first picture. This is also teased with the caption of the post saying, “Meet Mark’s best friend from another dimension, Angstrom Levy. They’re going to get along great!!!”

Despite what the caption may say, Angstrom Levy and Mark Grayson probably won’t get along at all. In the comics, Invincible is involved in a horrible laboratory accident that leaves Levy disfigured. Damage to his organs causes his limbs to fail, meaning he needs to use prosthetics. His injuries drive him mad, and he ultimately blames Invincible for them. Levy spends multiple years getting revenge on Invincible in different ways using the powers of the multiverse, becoming Invincible’s arch-nemesis.

Fans can expect another multiverse superhero story, considering the villain ofInvincibleseason 2 has multiversal powers. However, Kirkman was proud to note that the multiverse storyline in the Invincible comics happened before the Spider-Verse or the Flashpoint comics. Although somefans may be tired of multiverse superhero stories, they should wait and see howInvinciblepulls it off.

Omni-Man became a fan-favorite villaininInvincibleseason 1. However, fans probably won’t see much of him in season 2. Fans will miss his presence in the upcoming season, but without him, there’s room for more villains like Angstrom Levy, and fans who read the comics should be excited about Levy and the upcoming season.

Invincibleseason 2 is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Jun 01, 2025.
