Fill Up the Super Meter
Critical Art Supers require a full super meter. This is the meter at the bottom of the screen. Every attack that lands on an opponentadds to the meter. This includes attacks that are blocked, although the amount of meter given will be slightly reduced. The super meter carries over between rounds, so players should spend it wisely. The super meter maxes out at 3 bars. This is enough for players to activate their level 3 super move, but Critical Arts moves need one more condition.
When a player has a full meter and their health dips below 25%, the level 3 meter will change to CA. This means that the character’s Critical Art is ready to be used. The CA meterdoes notcarry through between rounds. It will be reset to a level 3 meter if no Critical Art is used.
Activating Critical Arts
Players have to input the same button combination as their level 3 super to initiate a Critical Art Super. This will differ based on whichStreet Fighter 6characterthe player is using and the control scheme they have selected. Classic controls will most likely demand a double quarter-circle joystick input and a button press. Modern controls will require a single direction and a button. Players should always check the command lists to learn which control inputs are necessary and what range the character needs to be in to land the attack.
With Critical Arts only being available in low health they can be a powerful comeback move to get players out of a jam. When the combo is completed successfully, players can expect a more powerful and extended version of their level 3 super. This will include a flashier cutscene and more damage done to the opponent. It’s a good idea to try it out in practice mode before heading out into online battles.
