Upgrading Weapons and Armor in Rise of the Ronin
Following the early hours of the game,Rise of the Roninwill let players loose intothe open world, where cities and regions can be explored. Here, players will be able to locate vendors of all kinds, including the importantblacksmiths, who are represented by thehammer and chisel symbol onthe map.
Head over to the nearest blacksmith and initiate a conversation. Theoption to upgradecan then be chosen, allowing players to choose from any of theirequipped items or those in the inventoryto be upgraded. The costs involved are not just the game’scurrencybut also in the form ofmaterials. The higher levels an item is to be upgraded to, the more precious resources it will require.
As an example, upgrading a katana will require money, Iron Ore, and Black Sand Steel. While it is relatively easy to earn money, the resources usually used in the upgrading process require more work.
How to Find Upgrade Materials in Rise of the Ronin
Just like anything that is earned inRise of the Ronin, players can hope to obtain various upgrade materials forweapons and armorbyharvesting them in nature,completing missions and side quests,hunting down treasure chestsout in the wild, orbuilding bondswith their allies. As reliable as these methods are, they can still be limited and take longer.
Instead, the easiest way is todisassemble the unwanted gear itemsin your inventory at the blacksmith. The game is extremely generous when it comes to loot, so it is easy to find your inventory filled with many other items that are either underpowered or not to your liking.
Put them to good use bydisassembling them at the blacksmith to get the required upgrade materials. Naturally, weapons will yield materials that can be used to upgrade your favorite arms, and the same goes for armor pieces.
