Get the LE 5 SMG before overwriting the Level 1 card. Otherwise, a Regenerator will spawn in the Freezer.

After overwriting the Level 2 key card, head to the Incubation Lab and find the Biosensor Scope in the weapon case. (It’s sitting on the table at the other end of the room.)
The Best Way to Upgrade the LE 5
What the LE 5 SMG lacks is power and fire rate. Therefore, the optimal upgrade strategy is investing in force and speed. Players are advised to spend 95,000 Ptas on power upgrades, taking the LE 5 from Level 1 to 4, and putting 36,000 into enhancing its reload speed to at least 0.95.

How to Get the TMP SMG
After chapter 3, players will be able tobuy the TMP submachine gun at the Merchant sites for 10,000 Ptas. TMP is a lightweight, compact SMG ideal for close- to mid-range combat.

The TMP SMG is one ofthe best weapons to upgrade early. But since its fire rate is unupgradable, players are better off enhancing the power and reload speed first. A good idea is to pay 29,000 Ptas to upgrade its force to 0.65 and 17,000 to up the reload speed to 1.1 before chapter 4.

How to Get the Chicago Sweeper SMG
The only way to get the Chicago Sweeper (aka the Typewriter) is bycompleting the campaign on Professional difficultywith an A rank. Basically, players who beat the Leon “A.” Kennedy challenge receive the Chicago Sweeper as a reward.
Once unlocked, the Chicago Sweeper also becomes available at the Merchant site for 50,000 Ptas.
How to Get the Infinite Ammo for the Chicago Sweeper
Unlockingthe unlimited ammo for the Chicago Sweeperrequires an Exclusive Upgrade Ticket. To get the ticket, players will need to pay 660,000 Ptas for maxing out the weapon and purchase its exclusive perk from the Merchant.
The Best Way to Upgrade the Chicago Sweeper
Level-4 and Level-5 upgrades of the Chicago Sweeper become available in Chapter 9. Before that, players should up the gun’s power, ammo capacity, and reload speed to at least Level 3. But note that this is not a cheap upgrade –it’ll cost 200,000 Ptas.
