Barret is one of the main characters inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthand is with the party right from the get-go. As withthe game’s other playable party members, the angy Avalanche member has access to seven unique weapons, most of which can be found locked away inside purple chests.
A lot of these chests are hidden in plain sight, making them very difficult for players to miss. However, one or two can be a little tricky to spot, so those hoping to find all of Barret’s weapons inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthwill need to keep their eyes peeled or risk having to buy them from a weapons vendor later on.
With the exception of the Fafnir Rifle, players will be able to purchase any of Barret’sFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthweapons that they miss from a weapons vendor after completing the chapter in which the weapon can first be found.
Gatling Gun

A custom-ordered gun commissioned specifically to take down Shinra forces. Barret’s longtime right-hand man.

Players will find Barret’s High-Caliber Rifle in a purple chest on a grassy island while crossing the swamp in the southwest part of the Grasslands. Players will pass through this area during the Through the Swamplands Main Scenario inChapter 2ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

How to Get Barret’s Barrage Blaster in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
The Barrage Blaster is in a purple chest in the Railway Control Tower - 1F area on the Ground Level of the Coal Mines. Players will find themselves in this area during the Continue Your Search Main Scenario inChapter 7not too long after findingYuffie’s Twin Viper.
Vulcan Cannon
A gunarm that fires faster as its three barrels begin to rotate.
Charging Uppercut
Rush toward an enemy and launch them into the air with a furious blow. Increases Charge.
Top up Overcharge gauge.
How to Get Barret’s Vulcan Cannon in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Barret’s Vulcan Cannon can be found inside a purple chest in the Scrapyard Prison Cell area of the Corel Desert during the Prisoner Main Scenario inChapter 8.
Point Blank
Consume all ATB charges to deliver a close-range attack and send enemies flying.
Finish off an enemy.
How to Get Barret’s Fafnir Rifle in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
To get Barret’s Fafnir Rifle, players will need to completethe Pursuit of Perfection side quest, which can be triggered from the Gongaga Village Community Noticeboard after reaching the Village of Gongaga Main Scenario inChapter 9.
Calamitous Bazooka
A wicked firearm imbued with the rancor of a tribe of fallen warriors.

Players will find Barret’s Battle Cry in a purple chest inthe Temple of the Ancientsduring the Forging Ahead Main Scenario inChapter 13. The chest is in one of the stone towers in the Corridor of Catastrophe area on the Hall of Life - First Tier section of the temple.
