How To Find Sunstone In Dragon’s Dogma 2

Sunstone is quite a rare resource inDragon’s Dogma 2, which is why it is a necessary component for some of the most significantweapon and armor enhancementsplayers will encounter in the game. You may have to journey a significant distance and encounter some difficult enemies before you may get your hands on this material, but there are thankfully some reliable sources found throughout the world. The two most reliable of those areMubarak the vendor and Dragonsbreath Tower.

How To Find Mubarak the Vendor

The first reliable source of Sunstone isMubarak the vendor, but his location is not quite as reliable. This traveling merchant can be found in the northernparts of Battahl, but it can be difficult to place his exact location. to find him, players are best suited to first traveling to Checkpoint Rest Town, whichcan be reached via oxcartfrom either Bakbattahl or Vernworth, and venturing south. There is a chance that he may be somewhere around the town, so it is a good starting point.

Mubarak is distinguishable as he is a Beastren merchant with long hair and mostly dark/grey clothing. Once you have found him, you will be able to purchase some Sunstone for3,000 G, however he unfortunately keeps a low stock. While he is almost guaranteed to have the resource on hand, players are better off going to Dragonsbreath Tower to mine Sunstone themselves.

If Mubarak doesn’t have Sunstone in stock, simplypass time for a couple of days, and it should be replenished.

How To Find Dragonsbreath Tower

The most reliable source of Sunstone at the time of writing this is Dragonsbreath Tower. This location is situated to thesouthwest of Bakbattahland is a particularly challenging location to reach on account of the significant number of enemies you will encounter on your travels. To reach it, players will need to exit Bakbattahl and follow the road to the left as you leave the city, and follow it as it goes from the west to the south. After passing some of the cables that hold the rope transport system, players should turn right at the fork in the road thatleads them over a bridgeand into the forest. From there, it is generally a matter of following the path and defeating any foes in your way.

Once players reach Dragonsbreath Tower, they will need to cross the stone bridge and turn left, before going into the first room on the right. On the other side of the room, on the left, is some rubble - go around it and through a breakable wall, indicated by the pile of loose bricks. From there, turn right, go down the stairs and venture outside, where you will find some Sunstone ores that can be mined.

How To Farm Sunstone in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Sunstone is not in great quantities inDragon’s Dogma 2, so players may benefit from spending some time farming the resource to better their equipment. As it stands, with Dragonsbreath Tower being the only known renewable source of the material, players can plan their farming attempts around that - however, it will cost quite a bit of time and likely more money than it potentially is worth, unless you are making the most ofthe infinite gold glitch.

The best way to farm Sunstone is tomake use of the camp siteat Dragonsbreath Tower. This will require players using multiple campsites in succession to pass time, particularly as the respawn rate is quite low due to the scarcity of the material. Players can expect to wait between 3–7 days for the ore to replenish, and it is likely to be on the longer end for Sunstone.

Alternatively, players canopt toput one of their Portcrystalsin the campsite on Dragonsbreath Tower, and return to the site every in-game week or so to mine the material again. This is also not a particularly cost-effective way of farming the resource, as it requires Ferrystones to achieve, but it will allow players to continue completing quests and earning other resources while waiting for the Sunstone ores to respawn.
