A new leak fromHonkai: Star Railhas teased several new characters set to join the game throughout its first few updates. The launch of HoYoverse’s highly-anticipated space RPG finally arrived earlier this week and the game has already seen massive success from the get-go. Thesci-fi RPG from theGenshin Impactdeveloperwas already topping charts in the days leading up to its release and features an initial roster of more than 20 playable characters. Now, leaks are giving an idea of who players should expect next from the game.WhileHonkai: Star Railboasts a solid lineup of characters at launch, both the story and past beta tests have already teased several other future roster members. Early portions of the game introduce the player to characters like Kafka and Silver Wolf, neither of whom are featured within the game’s starting lineup. Several others like Blade and Luocha were featured within the game’s several closed beta tests but did not joinHonkai: Star Railwith its full launch. Version 1.1 is set to add both Luocha and Silver Wolf asnew five-star characterswith both prominently appearing in the game’s story. Version 1.2 will introduce the prologue’s other starring character in Kafka alongside Blade as its featured characters. Version 1.3 is set to feature a new version of starting character Dan Heng as well as the Xianzhou Luofu’s Fu Xuan.

Upcoming Honkai: Star Rail Characters

While many of the early versions' featured characters were already playable inHonkai: Star Rail’s closed beta tests, the updates will feature at least one entirely new character. Fu Xuan was first announced in January 2023 as a planned playable character forStar Rail, though she only appeared as an NPC in the game’s beta. Each of the other revealed five-star characters was previously featured duringHonkai: Star Rail’s closed beta testswith gameplay styles and kits already revealed.Honkai: Star Railis expected to run similar six-week-long patch cycles to its predecessor inGenshin Impact.

Honkai: Star Rail’s launch has already seen a wealth of content for players to dive into between the game’s main story and side missions. Each map within the gamefeatures a plethora of treasure chestsfor players to uncover, offering valuable rewards like Stellar Jade, experience and Relics.Honkai: Star Railalso features multiple permanent game modes like the roguelike Simulated Universe and the Spiral Abyss-like Forgotten Hall.Honkai: Star Rail’s debut has been a smashing success for HoYoverse and new content will look to maintain its strong start.
