The video was posted to theSkyrimsubreddit by player Wreck556. It shows them walking on the road outside Whiterun and looking up as a dragon soars past overhead. While Wreck556 is keeping an eye on the dragon, a small shape appears in the clear, blue sky. As it swiftly approaches the ground, it becomes clear that it is a giant dropping like a stone. Upon impacting the ground, the giant takes enough fall damage to kill it and buckles. Wreck556 looks away for a couple of seconds, and when they pan back the giant is nowhere to be seen. The tables have turned in this video, as usuallySkryrim’s giants send people flying into the air.

This sort of occurrence isn’t really uncommon to see inSkyrim, but it’s almost always hilarious to watch. While in some games the bugs can be frustrating and game-breaking, theSkyrimcommunity has, for the most part, embraced them. There have been countless memes and inside jokes made about the various bugs, and in one case, a fan even made amod to reinstate a creepy bug that Bethesda fixed. Looking at all of that, it’s clear that the quirky bugs have become a part of the game’s appeal for its fanbase.

Bethesda managed to create a huge and engaging world withSkyrim, and the complexity of all the underlying systems that make the game work is a large part of what leads to these weird and unique situations. This has created something of a cult following for the game, with fans pouring hundreds of hours into playing and modding, with someincredibly ambitiousSkyrimmodsbeing created, despite its age. It seems that fans will continue to enjoy the game despite, or perhaps because of, these peculiar and hilarious bugs.
