Each newDestiny 2expansion and season brings with it a higher power cap to chase, a number dedicated to not only making players more powerful, but also restricting certain activities until the number is passed. Typically for seasons, Bungie raises the number 50 but for Season of the Splicer, Bungie has only raised it by 10 from the previous season. While the decision toset the new Destiny 2 power cap at 1320 was certainly surprising, it does give players more of an opportunity to spend less time focusing on bounties and challenges and instead concentrate more on activities.
Still, for those who are well under that number, there’s plenty of grinding ahead.Destiny 2does provide a few ways to continue raising the power cap through the soft cap and beyond the more difficult to progress hard cap. New weapons and armor that drop from activities typically drive the players number forward at a constant clip until the hard cap of 1310 is reached. In order to push that number forward towards the Pinnacle Cap, players will need to targetspecific activities that reward Pinnacle Gear.

While these activities have changed over the past year, with Bungie tweaking the number available any given season, one player has managed to put together a comprehensive list of allpinnacle gear activities for Season of the Splicer. For players looking to level up quick,Destiny 2subReddit user RiseofBacon laid out all current activities based on the level of pinnacle reward, potential bugged activities, retired ones, as well as speculating content coming later in the season.
Right now, the following activities will award players with the highest pinnacle gear inDestiny 2:
While not the highest tier gear, these activities are also good for advancing through the hard cap:
Both Presage and the Deep Stone Crypt Raid no longer offer pinnacle rewards this season and people have been finding that the 8 Splicer Servitor bounties seem to be bugged. Reports indicate that rewards dropped upon completion are on level and not pinnacle level as expected.
Not only that, with the Deep Stone Crypt retired from issuing top gear, it appears thatthe upcoming Vault of Glass raidto take its spot instead. When Hard Mode debuts later on, the Vault of Glass could be a great source for two Pinnacle rewards each week for the player base, making the list of sources even longer than it is now. Considering that the Power Cap was only extended by 10 this season, it should take players too long to grind to max power.
