The Patriot Exosuit has been arguably one of the worst stratagems forHelldivers 2for multiple patches, with problems stemming from several issues ranging from its lackluster damage to its surprisingly fragile health bar. The stratagem was rewarded to players after the successful liberation of Tien Kwan back in March and was met with much excitement from users, who were eager to discoverthe potential of the Patriot Exosuitfor themselves. However, the enthusiasm surrounding the exosuit has since died down, with the stratagem now seeing very little use in most high-level lobbies. This was partly because players found that the mech was too slow to outrun enemies and lacked the firepower necessary to clear multiple elite units, meaning pilots would be quickly overwhelmed once a firefight ensued, and partly because other stratagems offered much more reliable solutions for a fraction of the risk.
One fan pointed out some of the many technical issues of the Patriot Exosuit on theHelldiverssubreddit, such as how its aiming reticle was still unreliable when pointed at long-range targets and how developers have seemingly ignored the issues plaguing the stratagem since release.
