The campaign fromHalo Infinitewas recently launched, and with it has come an expansive story and an open world for the first time in theHalofranchise. These new gameplay elements make it necessary to changeHalo Infinite’sPC settings in order to experience the game the way that 343 Industries means for it to be experienced.
Players ofHalo Infinitewho are using PCs that meet 343i’s minimum game requirements will want to tweak their settings in order to achieve smoother gameplay. This pertains to anyone using AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440 processors. Graphics are equally important. Gamers should either be using AMD RX 570 or comparable graphics cards for best results. With these most basic elements, PCs will need to be altered to improve performance.

Best PC Settings for Halo Infinite
Players with the minimum PC requirements will be sticking to ‘medium’ quality for most of their gameplay settings. Textures, Geometry, Ambient Occlusion, Shadow Quality, and Light Quality are all best left at ‘medium.’ Depth of Field can be set at ‘low.’ There are a lot of other options withinHalo Infinite’ssettings that can be changed, and it’s all stuff that players have to consider. For example, fans can control cloud quality, fog, and reflections. Lowering the settings on some of these items will make for asmoother experience without impactingHalo Infinitemuch at all.
These settings requirements aren’t set in stone, though. Players with PCs with more power than the minimum requirements, but who don’t quite meet the maximum either, don’t have to stick to these settings exactly. It may be best to choose different settings and see how the game performs. Ideally, 343i recommends shooting for 60 to 80 FPS. Generally speaking, though, the above settings should work for most players looking tojump intoHalo Infiniteon PC. Taking settings to lower requirements is always an option as well.
Typically, eliminating unnecessary simulated items and keeping less-used graphical elements at ‘low’ is a good way to go. Clouds, for example, could be set to the lowest possible setting.Most ofHalo Infinite’scampaign takes place insidebuildings anyway. Fog isn’t important either, nor is Dynamic Wind.Haloshould look fine on your PC as long as textures are at medium.
Some players attempt to downloadHalo Infiniteon weaker PCs and rely on using all the lowest settings, which is not a great strategy. There are other options for players who want to experience the game but don’t have the proper specifications (Xbox’s new cloud gaming service comes to mind). It is best to keep the system requirements set by 343i in mind and to take steps to adjustHalowhen necessary. As long as the game runs smoothly, players will enjoy a fantastic story and epic multiplayer experience.
