Players of the Definitive Edition of theGrand Theft Autofranchise continue to find more bugs in the remastered trilogy. OneGrand Theft Auto: San Andreasfan has recently discovered a glitch where cars sink into the ground in theGrand Theft Auto: San AndreasDefinitive Edition.
TheGrand Theft Autofranchise is among the best-selling games that dominated the PS2 era, followed by an even more successfulGTA5. The fifth entry into the series was so successful thatGrand Theft Auto 5became thebest-selling game of all time in 2017. Then in November 2021, Rockstar Games launched a remastered trilogy that included the iconicGrand Theft Auto 3,Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, andGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas. However, that’s not to say any of these hit titles were without their glitches. But it appears that these bugs continue to be a regular occurrence even as these games are made available to newer consoles and platforms.

While glitches are nothing new to theGTAfranchise, it becomes problematic when players experience these types of issues even with the remastered titles. These issues were so noticeable that theGTAtrilogy earned a low Metacritic scorelast year. A recent gameplay snippet from theGrand Theft Auto: San AndreasDefinitive Edition where the player’s car sinks into the ground after colliding with another vehicle, shows these issues are yet to be addressed.
Of course, these glitches aren’t limited toGrand Theft Auto: San Andreasor the remastered trilogy. Players have also come across similarbugs inGrand Theft Auto Online. But even as glitches continue to plague the franchise along with poor reception from gamers and critics alike, the trilogy has been a commercial success. According to the CEO of Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive, theGrand Theft Auto Trilogyshipped at least 10 million units following its launch.
Currently, the company is looking to bring the remastered trilogy to iOS and Android devices during the first half of 2022, and an updated version ofGrand Theft Auto 5to the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X consoles. Rockstar is also developing the next main entry to the franchise and fans have already begun to speculatewhat to expect fromGTA6. However, if player experience from theGrand Theft Auto: San AndreasDefinitive Edition is anything to consider, Rockstar may need to address these glitches and ensure these don’t translate to upcoming content.
