Racing video games have always been a popular genre, and each year, they seem to drastically improve with graphics, gameplay, and accessories. One company that makes racing game hardware may have just revealed a long-awaited game coming in 2020.
Next Level Racing creates hardware for racing games and is an official PlayStation licensee. It works closely with Sony to produce amazing cockpits for racing games. With so muchattention on the PS5, many have kept their eyes on Next Level Racing’s new products. However, Next Level Racing gave an indication of a new racing game on an Instagram post.

The post is captioned, “What racing game are you most looking forward to in 2020,” featuring some racing game logos on the bottom of the picture. TheDirt 5,F1 2020, andAutomobilista 2logos raise a ton of excitement, but the other logo is something truly revealing. The officialGran Turismologo is shown with the number 7 next to it.Gran Turismo 7would be the next installment of the franchise, and based on the caption, may be scheduled to come out this year.Gran Turismo 7is in development, but not much has been said since it was confirmed.
Gran Turismo 6was released back in 2013 for PS3 and is not compatible with the PS4.Gran Turismofans have been without an entry on the current generation of PlayStation, so it would be amazing to see the franchise on next-generation consoles. Even more exciting is that Next Level Racing is the one to reveal it, because it could mean thatGran Turismo 7will work with the hardware that Next Level Racing makes.
All the games featured on Next Level Racing’s Instagram post are cause for excitement. If all games are released around the same window, it will be a heated race to see which game performs the best. These games could be very influential on how next-generation consoles are viewed. Also, because of the coronavirus pandemic, some NASCAR drivers have beencompeting using racing gamesin place of actual cars. If racing games continue to evolve, competitive video game racing may generate a lot of attention.
