Gotham Knightsis now fully enveloped in its late-stage marketing endeavors. Having released its latest gameplay walkthrough with Nightwing and Red Hood,Gotham Knightsalso announced its next-gen exclusivity and pre-order bonuses that come with each edition available to players.
Gameplay inGotham Knights’ open-worldhas now been briefly addressed, and it may be some time before fans see more villains or story-related events. However, WB Games Montreal had released a character spotlight video earlier this month highlighting Nightwing in particular. This spotlight ran over a minute and a half with Nightwing’s narration giving context to his character’s motivations, and the clip cinematically represented the character’s combat and cosmetics. Now,Gotham Knightshas announced which playable character it will spotlight next.

In a short teaser that illuminates the insignias ofGotham Knights’ playable protagonists, Robin’s appears last and is held in focus the longest. The teaser, which was posted to Twitter, also features a caption that announces the spotlight will be released tomorrow at 6AM PT, and has a green heart emoji to signify and confirm that Robin will be given the next spotlight. Robin’s spotlight will likely be similar to Nightwing’s with narration from the character overtop gameplay and combat with unique cosmetics.
It is difficult to discern if there is a particular timelineGotham Knightshas scheduled for the release of these spotlights, but it will be less than three weeks between the spotlights for Nightwing and Robin, implying that the next character spotlight can be expected to release in a comparable window. Players have seen gameplay from Robin in earlier trailers as well asthe Batgirl and Robin gameplay walkthroughthat featured a boss fight with Mr. Freeze.
That walkthrough only showcased Robin intermittently since there was a focus on Batgirl’s perspective, so it will be exciting to see more combat and abilities from Robin in cinematic shots edited together. Players already know thatRobin will have access to a Red Robin costumeas well as some pre-order and Deluxe Edition cosmetics, but it will be interesting to see which cosmetics are highlighted in his spotlight video.
It may also be of note that a promotional image of each character was recently put out and has Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood lined up and backlit by their insignias, which may imply the order of characters that fans can expect to see spotlights for. If this is the case, it would seem as if Batgirl is next after Robin, with Red Hood being the last character spotlight thereafter. These spotlights may not reveal anything significantly new aboutGotham Knightsitself, but fans can continue looking forward to them as more information is sure to be shared in the future.
Gotham Knightsis scheduled to release on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
