HoYoverse announced its new update schedule forGenshin Impact, revealing planned release dates and version duration for versions 3.0 through 3.3.Genshin Impactversions 3.0 through 3.2will last roughly five weeks each instead of the traditional six-week duration. The development team at HoYoverse will adjust its content plan accordingly without reducing gameplay content found in each update. Additionally, theGenshin ImpactBattle Pass is adjusted to compensate for the new five-week duration. Players may level up the Battle Pass by earning 900 EXP for each BP level in Genshin Impact versions 3.0 through 3.2.

Genshin Impactversion 3.0releases on August 24, followed by the release of version 3.1 on September 28 and the release of version 3.2 on November 2.Genshin Impactversion 3.3 is planned to release on December 7, and the update schedule is expected to return to the standard six-week duration. Furthermore, EXP required to level up the Battle Pass is expected to revert to 1,000 EXP per level. Release dates for versions 3.0 through 3.3 are subject to change.

Genshin Impactversion duration changeswere rumored for weeks as players awaited news about version 3.0. Although the duration is reduced to five weeks, players may still experience the same amount of content as originally planned according to HoYoverse. The developer reassures fans that content is not being cut for the sake of shorter update duration.

HoYoverse is likely releasing content at a faster pace to compensate for the delay ofGenshin Impactversion 2.7. However, HoYoverse must be careful about potential FOMO (fear of missing out) within theGenshin Impactcommunity. A shorter duration brings the possibility of some players missing out on limited-time events, which could lead to controversy.

Genshin Impactis available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
