A new post on the popularGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit shows more details about one of the new swords that will apparently be a part of the upcoming update. The sword is called Light of Foliar Sanction, and it will serve as the signature weapon for thenext five-star character Alhaihtam, who played an important role in the Sumeru arc. According to the leak, the new weapon will have the following stats:

A lot of comments claim that this could easily become an S-tierGenshin Impactweapon that can be used by almost anyDPS character in theGenshin Impact. However, in order to use this weapon to its full potential, players need to ensure that their character’s Normal Attacks are infused with elemental damage so that they can benefit from its passive effect.

Even though it will serve as Alhaitham’s signature weapon, fans claim they will be happy to equip it on their existing DPS sword units like Ayato or evenGenshin Impact’s support characters like Kazuha. Even though the leak does not reveal the weapon’s release date, it’s safe to assume it will appear on the same banner as the new five-star Dendro character.

Some players have complained that Alhaitham’s kit seems oddly similar to another sword user named Keqing, the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. According to several fans,Alhaitham’s Elemental Burstseems like the Dendro version of Keqing’s Starward Sword. Also, both of their Elemental Skills allow them to dash and deal elemental damage in the process.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
