There are a lot of characters inGenshin Impact, but due to the nature of its Gacha system, some see more use than others. While 5-star characters are undeniably more powerful, the 4-star characters are a lot easier to get and therefore more players use them. Barbara is a good example of this, as all players canget Barbara for freeby simply reaching a high enough Adventurer Rank. Pair this with the fact that she’s a guaranteed healer and odds are that most players have had her in their party at one point or another. This familiarity combined with TheGemCosplay’s incredible design make this a can’t miss cosplay.
In terms ofGenshin Impactlore, Barbara is Jean’s younger sister. While her sister takes on the duties and responsibilities of Acting Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius, Barbara instead devotes herself to the Church of Favonius. Aside from this, she is also an idol, and has wows her fans with the same voice she uses to heal the player’s party.

TheGemCosplay posted theimpressive cosplay on theGenshin Impactsubreddit. The header reads “Very nervous to post here but just wanted to share my Barbara Cosplay!!” After seeing her work, fans in the comments make it very clear that she doesn’t need to be shy, although it does seem very in character with Barbara’s personality. The layered blue and white cloth matches the idol’s outfit perfectly, and she even has a blue grimoire attached to her belt to represent Barbara’s Hydro magic.
The finishing touch here is the pose, which matches up to thepose that Barbara strikes after using her Elemental Skilland while in the character menu. The level of detail in the cosplay is certainly impressive, and the support from fans in the comments makes it clear that they’d love to see more. Unfortunately, TheGemCosplay has only posted one picture of her in the outfit so far, but that might change in the future. Barbara may not be the most efficient healer in the game, but she definitely leaves in impact on a lot of players. Whether it’s by having her in the party, watching theBarbara Vtuber promotional video, or enjoying amazing cosplays like this, fans aren’t likely to complain about Barbara getting a little more screen time.
