Neuvillette is the first new character added toGenshin Impact’s roster with the launch of the 4.1 update. While he may be aHydro Catalyst character, a combination that’s relatively common in the game, Neuvillette brings a unique playstyle to the table compared to other Hydro characters like Kokomi or Mona. He’s primarily a main DPS character who relies on Charged attacks for his damage output.

To maximize Neuvillette’s DPS potential inGenshin Impact, players should focus on optimizing specific stats in his build. While he shares similarities with other DPS characters, especially those who scale with HP, understanding which weapons, artifacts, and stats to prioritize can significantly enhance his performance as the Iudex of Fontaine and leader of the Marechaussee Phantom.

Neuvillette Best Artifact In Genshin Impact

ForNeuvilletteinGenshin Impact, the optimal artifact setis the 4-piece Marechaussee Hunter. This set enhances his charged attacks by increasing their damage by 15% and also boosts his Crit Rate by up to 36%, allowing players to focus on increasing his Crit DMG for higher damage output. However, if they don’t have the ideal pieces for the Marechaussee Hunter set, players can consider using the 4-piece Heart of Depth or Wanderer’s Troupe sets, as they provide beneficial stats as well. Combining multiple artifact sets is also an option, but the goal should be to equip him with 4 pieces of the Marechaussee Hunter set for optimal performance if players want to well invest into this character in the long run.

In terms of artifact stats for Neuvillette, players have a few optimal choices. For the Sands (timepiece), HP% is the best option. For the Goblet, aiming for Hydro DMG Bonus is the ideal choie, but if players haven’t obtained a good Hydro DMG bonus piece, HP% can be a suitable substitute since it will perform similarly. For the Circlet, going with either Crit Rate or Crit DMG works well. If Neuvillette is equipped with the Marechaussee Hunter set and already has a decent amount of Crit Rate from sub-stats, focusing on a Crit DMG main stat Circlet might be a better choice. However, if players will be using his signature weapon, which provides a significant amount of Crit DMG, and his ascension stat also boosts Crit DMG, then opting for a Crit Rate main stat Circlet can help increase Neuvillette’s crit consistency significantly while maintaining a high Crit DMG ratio. Ultimately, the choice between Crit Rate and Crit DMG will depend on players' overall stats and equipment for Neuvillette.

When it comes to substats for Neuvillette in Genshin Impact, prioritize them in the following order: Crit Damage/Crit Rate > HP% > Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery. This substat priority is designed to maximize Neuvillette’s damage output with his charged attacks while ensuring that he can maintain a consistent uptime of his Elemental Burst. Additionally, it enhances his effectiveness on teams that focus on Elemental Reactions, making him a valuable asset in compositions like Tazer teams where he can excel.

Neuvillette Best Weapon In Genshin Impact

Neuvillette’s signature weapon, the “Tome Of The Eternal Flow,” is the best choice for maximizing his potential due to its excellent stats and effects. With a massive 88.2% Crit DMG on max ascension and secondary stat bonuses to HP and Charged Attack DMG, this weapon greatly enhances Neuvillette’s performance. It alsoprovides additional energy, making it the top pick for him. However, since it’s a limited-time 5-star gacha weapon, not everyone may have access to it. The next best alternative is the “Sacrificial Jade,” which is thenew catalyst from the Battle Pass update. This weapon excels when max refined but still performs well even without refinements. It does however require careful team rotations to ensure Neuvillette retains the buffs it provides.

For players looking for F2P options, the craftable weapon “Prototype Amber” and the 5-star weapon “Lost Prayer To The Sacred Winds” (if obtained from the standard weapon gacha pool) are solid choices. Lastly, the “Ballad of the Boundless Blue” from the 4.1 update’s main event is another F2P-friendly option for Neuvillette, although it may not be as optimal as some other choices. Additionally, other 5-star weapons like “Jadefall’s Splendor” and “Kagura’s Verity” perform similarlyto Prototype Amber, if players already have access to additional copies of these options.
