Furiis a game filled to the brim withamazing boss fightsthat deserve all the praise in the world for being massive tests of skill. The game takes no prisoners and will force players to either learn the mechanics or give up entirely. However, the game is nowhere near as challenging as most people assume, with a combination of skill and patience being more than enough to defeat the toughest bosses in the game without breaking a sweat.

On top of the amazing content thatFurialready shipped out with, theOne More FightDLCadded two new bossesthat were worthwhile in their own way. This includes The Flame, which is a pretty challenging encounter that even the hardiest players around might find pretty challenging. Here are some tips and tricks to take down this powerful foe without getting too frustrated in the process.
7Take A Few Tries To Understand The Boss' Patterns
As is the case withany boss fight, it’s highly unlikely that players will defeat the boss from their very first encounter. Rather, it will take quite a few tries before the player can really make a dent in this battle.
However, this doesn’t mean that players should get frustrated. After all, patience is key to tackling any boss inFuri, and this applies to The Flame as well. As long as players are patient and learn from their mistakes, The Flame will become another entry in the list of bosses that players have defeated.
6Get Accustomed To The Smaller Arena
Aside from The Hand, most of the boss arenas inFuriare pretty large and allow players to roam around freely and get some much-needed breathing room against a boss. However, The Flame doesn’t afford this convenience to players, with his arena being pretty small.

As a result, players can definitely be caught off-guard if they get cornered by this foe. Staying mobile and somewhat central is key to ensuring that players can get throughmost of the phases of this bosswithout facing too many issues in the process.
5There Are Numerous Windows To Parry And Regain Health
Parrying is one of the most important mechanics inFuri, serving as a way to negate any melee damage while also regaining some precious health in the process. Mastering this mechanic is critical to beating the bosses inFuri, who won’t shy away from wailing at the player with their attacks if they don’t parry these combos in time.
The Flame is no exception here, with his multitude of melee combos absolutely decimating the player if they don’t nail all of their parries. This is easier said than done, but players will quickly get a hang ofthe boss' melee combosas they keep on fighting against this powerful adversary. Sooner rather than later, his melee attacks will become a thing of joy instead of something to fear, since it will let players regenerate precious health with ease.
4Perfect Dodging Is A Must During This Fight
The Flame has several long-range attacks that can wipe the player out in a few shots. So, it goes without saying that players should try and avoid these attacks whenever they get the opportunity.
Obviously, dodging these attacks is easier said than done. However, with enough practice, players will be deft enough to avoid the bulk of The Flame’s attacks, which will prove to be quite useful during his Desperation Phase.
3His QTE Attack Can Be Parried
There’s one particularly annoying attack of The Flame that can catch the player off-guard over and over again. Similar to The Song, The Flame rushes at the player and initiates a QTE attack which will always lead to The Rider’s health decreasing. If players fail the QTE, then the amount of damage incurred will be even greater!

Dodging this attack can be pretty challenging…but there’s a more reliable way to deal with this attack. Instead of dodging, players should try and parry this attack instead. This strategy works for The Song as well, leaving both bosses open to a counterattackthat is almost always satisfying to execute.
2Never Stop Shooting
This is a tip that applied toevery boss in the gamebut is especially important for The Flame. Most of this boss' attacks force the player to keep a distance, meaning that melee attacks are pretty much off the table.
However, players can still pepper The Flame with an onslaught of bullets during these attacks. It’s critical to maintain this ranged pressure so that the battle doesn’t last for too long and The Flame is forced into his next phase pretty quickly.
1Don’t Attack Him When He Starts Flashing Blue
A new mechanic introduced for The Flame is a tendency to absorb and reflect attacks unleashed by The Rider. It’s not a move that he pulls off often, but can annoy the player to no end when he does. So, in order to avoid any damage from this counter, simply stop attacking The Flame when he starts flashing blue. This should be done quickly, otherwise his counterattack will be initiated anyway.
Furiis currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Switch.
