Quests are the easiest way to get more experience points without having to grind Creative game modes or playing regular games and hoping for a good score. This guide will help players complete one of Week Seven’s quests by explaininghow to enter a Chrome VortexinFortnite.
Chrome Explained
Chrome is all over the place at the moment –it’s what this season is all about. Players that haven’t checked out the Chrome mechanic are certainly missing out; it can turn gamers into a blob and allow them to dash from place to place on the map without the consequence of losing health to fall damage. When chromed, even when not in blob form, players will also regenerate HP slowly and become immune to fire.
There are only two ways to become chromed in the game: use the Chrome Splash item (an item that you can find randomly as floor loot, inside chests, or whendestroying chrome structures in chrome-covered biomes) or enter a Chrome Vortex.
Chrome Vortexes are tornados made out of this new chrome substance. They aren’t as powerful as the regular wind tornados that used to be in the game, and they don’t move during matches, either.
How to Enter a Chrome Vortex in Fortnite
There are two Chrome Vortexes that spawn on the map.One will always appear at the Herald’s Sanctum, and there’s another one that is constantly moving around. The vortex that’s always moving around will usually spawn between Rocky Reels and Shimmering Shrine or between Shiny Sound and Lustrous Lagoon. Players can open their map once they’re on the Battle Bus to check where this tornado has spawned - it’s the white swirly symbol that looks exactly like the one at Herald’s Sanctum.
To enter the Chrome Vortex, players will have to go up to it, either from the ground or glide near it.The vortex will pull them in, and they’ll get sucked into it almost instantly. To gain altitude, due to its lack of power compared to theprevious tornados inFortnite, players will have to hover around it for a bit.
Fortniteis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
