Final Fantasy 14recently announced an unfortunate two week delay for the upcomingEndwalkerexpansion. To help players understand the adjusted release schedule of events around the expansion’s new release date, one dedicated group ofFinal Fantasy 14fans have made an easy-to-follow timeline featuring all of the upcoming events planned for the critically-acclaimed MMORPG.

Originally,Endwalkerwas supposed to release on November 23rd, butFFXIVdirector and producer Naoki Yoshida made the executive decision to delay it by two weeks to ensure last-minute fixes and polishing could be done before the big day. Because of this, the previously-established timeline of events also had to be adjusted accordingly.

Enter the Phookas–a helpful group of threeFinal Fantasyfriends who make guides and infographics to help players old and new navigate the abundant systems ofFinal Fantasy 14. The timeline they have created covers everything from the ongoingMoogle Treasure Trove event toEndwalker’sreleaseand subsequent planned content patches, which will add the 8-man Pandaemonium raid and endgame currencies. It even covers the planned dates for the seasonal holiday events that have been scheduled so far.

The Phookas, named after the quirky creature from withinFinal Fantasy 14, have created dozens of helpful infographics, fromguides to PvP inFFXIVto what different in-game user interface symbols mean. The Phookas community is but one of many dedicated to fostering the positive atmosphere and playerbaseFinal Fantasy 14is known for.

A perfect example of this is theFinal Fantasy 14community’s reaction to the delay ofEndwalker. While one would expect most communities to be outraged, especially with only two weeks until the originally planned release date,Final Fantasy 14players are sympathetic and supportive of the development team. Save perhaps the unlucky few who were unable to move the PTO they had already secured for the original launch, most of the community would rather the developers take as much time as they need to deliver the best work they can, and two weeks is not long to wait.

Hilariously,Final Fantasy 14had already delayed All Saints’ Wake–FF14’sHalloween event–until afterEndwalker’srelease, choosing to instead focus its development time on ironing out the expansion pack. With the delay ofEndwalker, All Saints’ Wake has been delayed as well, though its Christmas and New Years' events, the Starlight Celebration and Heavensturn respectively, will still take place at their normal times. With All Saints’ Wake now scheduled for sometime in January,Final Fantasy 14players will get to experience the Nightmare After Christmas this year.

Final Fantasy 14is available now on PC, PS4, and PS5. TheEndwalkerexpansion launches on December 7.
