For a new IP, it introduced a vivid and exciting world populated with memorable characters. Gunslinging, dueling, and bringing in bounties made players feel like a genuine cowboy, and the story ofJohn Marstonwas both gripping and emotional when most people played it for the first time.

There have been a lot of talks ofRockstar Games remakingRed Dead Redemption 1. Most of the information presented is built more on speculation and rumors, but considering the popularityRed Dead 2has achieved, and considering how invested a lot of players became with the story and characters ofRed Dead 2, it could benefit Rockstar to remakeRed Dead 1as a way to give newer fans a chance to experience the game on the same technical level asRed Dead 2.
