It’s scheduled to begin at 8 AM Pacific/11 AM Eastern on October 14. Players can tune in by visitingDead Space’s official YouTube channel or developer Motive Studio on Twitch. Fans can find links to the stream in the tweet, though Motive Studio warns that the livestream may not be suitable for all audiences. Given the franchise in question, that probably should not be surprising.

Motive announced the stream as a celebration ofDead Space’s 14th anniversary, though it technically takes place the day after. It will also be the fans' first look at the reboot’s uninterrupted gameplay. Developersrevealed theDead Spacegameplay trailer on October 4, though it was heavily edited and contained a lot of cinematic content. Nevertheless, it still teased a lot of action, includingDead Space’s iconically graphic dismemberment-based combat and memorable zero gravity set-pieces. Still, many fans will no doubt be excited to see a more significant stretch of uninterruptedDead Spacegameplay.

Fan reactions were overwhelmingly positive on Twitter, with fans expressing their excitement for the upcoming remake through comments and memes. A minority of replies voiced skepticism about whether theDead Spaceremake is worth its expected $70 price tag, with one suggesting that EA should offer a discount to players who own the original game. However, the overwhelming majority of Twitter replies were unambiguously positive.

Notably,Dead Spacehas a serious competitor this time around in the form ofThe Callisto Protocol. Developed by Striking Distance Studios and published by Krafton,The Callisto Protocolis helmed byDead Spaceco-creator Glen Schofield, and developers clearly position it as a spiritual successor to theDead Spacetrilogy. And since the games aren’t far apart on next year’s release schedule, many will be eager to see how the two games stack up, especially if EA and Krafton use these games to springboard their respective franchises.

Dead Spacelaunches on January 27 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
