Fallout 4is a pretty massive game that allows players to take on the role of the Sole Survivor, a Vault Dweller from Vault 111 who is in search of their son. During their time in the Commonwealth, the Sole Survivor can make a ton of allies.
Whether they are building settlements and recruiting settlers to come and stay with them or are traveling the world, looking for people who need their help, the player character is important. Here are all the factions they can join in the game.
What Are Factions?
Factions are the many different groups throughout the game that all want something. Some factions want to help the world, while others want to condemn it. There are four main factions that players can join and then several minor ones that can be fun to join as well. Whether players want to be the good or the bad guy, there’s a faction for any play style. Unfortunately, there are some factions that will always be hostile towards the player, no matter what they do (unless they use console commands).
All Factions The Player Can Join
Here are all the factions that players can join in the game and how they can join them. Please note that while the Sole Survivorcanjoin the four main factions (Brotherhood of Steel, Minutemen, The Railroad, and The Institute),players will need to decide which one they want to side with at the end of the game, meaning that while they can join them all, they will need to pick one to side with in the end.
Please note that some of these factions are more likely categorized as allies rather than organizations the player is a member of. However, they are all factions that can accept the player with open arms (as long as they agree with the player).
