A group of defiantValorantplayers have found a way to die before even starting the round which surprisingly does not immediately end the level. The method to achieving this result is definitely strange as it is able to take place against all odds.

The beginning of eachValorantround starts with a buy phase where players acquire weapons and abilities whilst scoping their half of the map as the opposing team is blocked on their side till the actual battle commences. At this stage, most weapons and abilities are disabled except for the friendly fire ability which does not harm teammates. Therefore, nothing can actually be used to kill the players prior to beginning the round.

However, this particular group of players uniquely discovered that although players can’t harm each other, they can indeed endure fall damage, thus, harming themselves enough to die before the round proceeds. In a video posted on Reddit, it shows exactly how this result was achieved by using the drop from Heaven to B Site on the map Split. Yet, once the defending team has expired, the round does not end instantly as expected. Instead, the video shows the attacking team continuing to fight until they locate the deceased defending team ahead of planting the Spike. And once the Spike detonates, the attacking team claims the victory for that round.

The news of this new peculiar ability comes just beforeRiot announced that they will be taking a short breakfrom working on its games in order for its employees to hopefully “disconnect, recharge, and reboot.” This means that some of its future releases will have to be reorganized to escape a hectic work schedule later on.

Conceivably, Riot could have been inundated with copious changes, updates and releases that were a little too overwhelming for it to handle. It dealt with problems just last month, as some players hadissues withValorant’sreport systemregarding in-game behavior and its treatment of sexual harassment. As players voiced their opinions on the game’s public displays of sexist behavior and sexual harassment, Riot Games’ executive producer responded by claiming to be taking this issue seriously and vowed that the developer will do better by the community.

Consequently, with this brand new way of dying in the buy phase, the recent release ofValorant Act 2, and theupcoming character changes, it seems Riot has a lot of work to look forward to after its brief hiatus.
