Mounts are not quite as common a sight inElder Scrollsgames as they are inElder Scrolls Online, where other players riding everything from common horses to Daedric monstrosities populate every crafting hub and major city. Mounts are integral to MMOs thanks to their gigantic worlds, andElder Scrolls Onlinemakes the process pretty easy.

Using a mount inElder Scrolls Onlineis a littledifferent from other MMOs, though, thanks to the Collections system and Stablemaster upgrades.
How To Equip And Summon A New Mount
Once you have a mount tied to yourElder Scrolls Onlineaccount it can be used byany of your characters, regardless of their level. Go to the Character Windows by pressing Left Alt (or your re-assigned key) and navigate to the Collections tab at the top.

Inthe Collections tabthere should be an option to choose your Mount. Click this, then look for the mount you want to use (after acquiring it, of course). Set this as your primary mount, then exit the menu. After pressing the “H” key, or by holding down the “Select” button on console, your character will blow a whistle and summon the chosen primary mount.
Elder Scrolls Online Mount Tips
Mounts are tied to a player’s account inElder Scrolls Onlinebut the ability to ride mounts is different from character to character. This is thanks to the Riding skill, which can only be trained once a day at a Stablemaster (generally found just outside major cities). This training costs 250 Gold and puts one point into either Speed, Stamina, or Carry Capacity. Each has a maximum of 60, for a total 60% bonus to Speed, Horse Stamina, or 60 extra points of Carry Weight. Be sure to train every dayon each character to max this skill.
Another thing to keep in mind is how versatile mounts are. It can be impossible to climb up some slanted surfaces in the game, but just like inSkyrim, mounts can be used to get past impassable obstacles. Another thing to keep in mind is the proper way to dismount. Pressing “H” again will stop the horse and dismount the player slowly, but by pressing your Block button, your player will instead instantly begin running. This makes talking to NPCs and getting through doors much faster, but it’s also great for jumping into combat on a dime.
The Elder Scrolls Onlineis available for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
