The Elder Scrolls Onlineoffers players countless armor sets from craftable sets to Trial sets tooverworld sets and everything in between. However, some sets can only be acquired by participating in the game’s extraneous game modes and activities such as excavating Antiquities, taking on Deadlands portals in Blackwood, and of course, participating in Cyrodiil PvP.

The Plaguebreak Armor Set inElder Scrolls Onlineis one of these sets. It grants its wearer three powerful (if simple) buffs in addition to a full set bonus that is sure to tip the scales in combat. Getting this set isn’t so simple, though, taking anywhere from five to a hundred attempts to acquire a full set.

Plaguebreak Set Bonuses

The Plaguebreak Set isconsidered by many PvP playersto be one of the most powerful armor sets available for taking on the Imperial Province, especially when facing groups of enemiesrather than in a 1v1 situation. The two, three, and four-item bonuses are useful, addingOffensive Penetration and Weapon and Spell Damage, but the set’s strength comes from the full set bonus.

For equipping five pieces players gain the ability to turn enemies intoPlague Carrierswith every hit (as long as they aren’t already a Plague Carrier). This debuffdeals 1715 Disease Damageover the course of10 seconds, but if they don’t get rid of the debuff, something else happenswhen the time is up – they explode, infecting other enemieswithin 8 meters with the Plague Carrier debuff and dealing explosive Disease Damage that ramps upbased on the number of enemies hit.

How To Get The Plaguebreak Set

The Plaguebreak Armor SetinElder Scrolls Onlinecan only be acquired by participating inPvP in Cyrodiil or in Battlegrounds. Pieces to the set dropexclusively from the Rewards for the Worthy crategiven to players whoearn 20,000 Alliance Points. The Rewards for the Worthy box can beearned multiple times in one dayand is mailed to the player directly.

20,000 Alliance Points is nothing to sniff at - it takes 20,000 AP just to rank up to a Grade 2 Recruit. AP is earned simply byparticipating in objectives in PvPlike taking fortifications, killing other players, and otherwise. They are also sometimes awarded asDaily Rewards, though infrequently. One problem with this systemis that therewards contained in each box are totally random, so it may take anywhere from a handful of attempts to hundreds of attempts to complete one of these sets. Luckily,ESOPvP in 2022 is far, far more engaging than it was on release.
