Fortniteis known for its addictive gameplay, building mechanics, and ongoing support, but its skins and crossover events have become just as big as the gameplay over the past few years. One of the next big skin additions toFortnitemay be meme-related, and it could star none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
WithFortnite’s NFL skin crossover returningrecently, and dozens of Marvel skins having joined the game through Season 4, there are plenty of characters Dwayne Johnson has played that could fit well intoFortnite’s universe. From his upcoming role as Black Adam in the DCEU, his wrestling attire, or evenThe Scorpion King, there are plenty of options for theFortniteteam. However, the hypothetical skin based on The Rock would take none of these forms, and instead would be based off a meme that “The Great One” has never lived down.

A float from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade was seen paying homage to The Rock’s fanny pack meme, which saw a young Dwayne Johnson sporting a hilarious haircut and outfit. The meme has spread over the last several years, and whilePikachu’s parade dance sequencestole the show on Thanksgiving, this float still caught some attention. Twitter user BrandonDavisBD called out the float’s similarity to aFortniteskin, and it was not long before the comments echoed this statement.
While numerous commenters were quick to voice their support for the skin, a few were less enthusiastic. Comments ranged from “I’d buy this skin in a heartbeat” to “thanks I hate it,” but every commenter agreed that the float’s Rock parody resembled a skin from Epic’s beloved battle royale. Twitter user Joshua Erenberg’s “…don’t give them ideas” comment was enough to spark a reply from the star, with The Rock taking a break from filming movies andplanning out the XFLto comment on the float.
The Rock replied to Brandon Davis directly, saying “way ahead of you, BD” alongside a winky face emoji. A “Great Minds” line of text was also seen within the tweet, with both lines hinting that The Rock could soon be contacting theFortniteteam about a skin based on the silly float and the fanny pack meme that inspired it. While there areplenty of funnyFortnitememesalready, Epic Games may soon be embracing another meme that is not related to its own game.
Thankfully,Fortniteplayers have plenty of skins to choose from until The Rock and his delightful fanny pack arrive. With dozens of Marvel heroes to choose from andThe Mandaloriansupposedly joiningFortnite’s roster, the wait for this meme-based skin should not feel long at all.
Fortniteis free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
