Diablo Immortalwas announced back in 2018 and is slated to bring the popular dungeon crawler to mobile devices for the first time. WithDiablo Immortalaiming to release later this year, developer Blizzard has started revealing some more information about what players should expect when it does.
Blizzard has already started revealing that while the game looks to emulate theDiabloexperience that players love,Diablo Immortalwill look somewhat different from other titles in the series. Blizzard has already announced thatit will not feature seasons likeDiablo 3, but it also will feature a different endgame experience as well.

In speaking with Pocket Tactics,Diablo Immortal’s senior combat designer Julian Love has said that the endgame experience will be “much richer” thanDiablo 3’s and that it will be its entirely own thing.Diablo Immortalis also an MMO, which is new for the series, and Love says that definitely had an impact on the game’s endgame. Love says that the game’s nature as an MMO and more social experience made designing the game’s endgame a much easier process. He says that it allows them to design difficult endgame experiences that will require players to discuss them with one another in order to prepare and figure it out for themselves. Of course, someDiablofans are also worried that thesocial aspect will carry negatives with it inDiablo Immortalas well.
As for what players can expect fromDiablo Immortal’s endgame, Love says that players will have a variety of options. He tells Pocket Tactics that the game has elder rifts, bounties, PvP, the Helliquary, and the Cycle of Strife. While all of those features have not been detailed yet, it does seem like a lot of content for players to choose from. Love also goes on to say that the team aims to make fully leveling a character likeDiablo Immortal’s Demon Hunter classjust the beginning of what feels like an entire other game.
Of course,Diablo Immortalis infamous for the poor reception its announcement received at 2018’s BlizzCon. However, Blizzard has maintained that itsplaytesters have been very impressed withDiablo Immortal. There is still a lot of information that players don’t know aboutDiablo Immortal. With both this year’s E3 and Summer Game Fest just around the corner, it is possible that players will get some more information ahead of the game’s release later this year soon. Hopefully, it ends up being a game that will satisfy new and oldDiablofans alike.
