The fourth horseman arrived this week inDestiny 2with a new exotic quest for players. The gun was featured prominently in the Season of the Worthy trailer so players were well aware of it coming back. While the quest itself may not be as unique as Devil’s Ruin from last season, it will take players into previously unexplored parts of The Towerincluding Zavala’s secret office. Outside of that, players will be participating in lots of public events and fighting Cabal.
Today also marks the first time since Trials of Osiris returned that the seasonal artifact power will be completely disabled to help level the playing field a bit. A major point of contention with the community once Bungie reveal its plans prior to Season 10, the developer quickly shifted gears and changed course.Yesterday’s hotfixdisabled artifact power for both Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris going forward.

In addition to Trials of Osiris,Destiny 2’straveling exotic merchant called Xur has once again returned to the game for another few days. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of August 04, 2025.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players can find the exotic merchant hanging out in his cave on Io.
Once loaded in, immediately head through the building into the area with the large drill in the center. Head left through the gate and follow the edges of the zone to the top left corner of the map where Xur is hiding in a cave.
Class Armor
Keep in mind thatthe Armor 2.0 updatehas caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.
Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:
Ophidian Aspect - Warlock gauntlets
Warlocks can pick up the recently adjusted gauntlets known as theOphidian Aspect. This armor is subclass neutral item that enhances combat ability through its perk, Cobra Totemic. With it, players can ready weapons and reload them much faster than normal. In addition, it also extends the Warlock melee range.
Ultimately, these are solid exotics because they help improve the combat of the game, especially in PvP activities. Having extended melee range is also beneficial for many Warlock subclasses, especially players who like using Devour. Better yet, the Season 10 patch gave them a buff that further extends the lunge range of all Warlock melee attacks even if the ability is on cooldown.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Oathkeeper - Hunter gauntlets
The only exotic armor to not have been adjusted in some capacity inside of Season 10 this week is the Hunter’s Oathkeeper gauntlets. Adamantine Brace is the intrinsic perk which allows bow charges to be held indefinitely. While it may not sound exciting on paper, what some players may overlook is that the bonus damage granted for immediately firing after fully drawing the bowis actually held indefinitely until fired.
These are a great pick up for Bow users and that’s about it. It works wonders with great with popular bows like Hush and Le Monarque. Not a fan of bows? These can be skipped.
Mk. 44 Stand Asides - Titan gauntlets
Originally introduced inside of Curse of Osiris, the Mk. 44 Stand Asides are for Titans who like to run. Seriously, Watch Out is the armor perk on this exotic gear and with it, players get an overshield while sprinting with Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash equipped. In addition, hits with these abilities recharge a portion of the player’s melee energy.
The value of these boots are based entirely on play style. They’re certainly not the best option out there, but could certainly be useful under the right circumstances. However, they may be worth another look considering they were buffed in therecent sandbox patch Bungie releasedalongside Season of the Worthy.
Void Enhanced. Stat Values:
Exotic Weapon
It’s been a while but The Queensbreaker is back on sale with Xur this week. The Queenbreakeris a heavy linear fusion rifle that allows players to pick how they want the gun to fire. Through Marksman sights, players can stack additional damage with long-range sights that also display ammo and charge levels. The tradeoff is that it takes the gun a little longer to fully charge before firing. Combat sights give the player faster charges and greater handling, though they can’t zoom in as far.
the exotic perk for this weapon is called Wire Rifle which fires a long range precision Arc bolt that blinds enemies on hit. This is a bit of a skill weapon so it won’t be for everyone. However, those who give it a chance will find that it’s pretty useful in the right situations, even though it requires heavy ammo.
