In the Deep Dive activity, players can venture through the deeps of the methane sea, where they will be able to locate Deep Dive plants and flora inDestiny 2. There are a total of six plants and flora that can be harvested for the aquarium, with two being located on each level of the Deep Dive activity. It’s a great idea to collect all Plant and Flora inDestiny 2, as players will further create a distinct visual identity for their aquarium, and boast of their collectibles inDestiny 2.
How To Activate Deep Dive Tiers
As players load intoDestiny 2upon Season 21’s arrival, players will be tasked with completing new seasonal quests released every weekly reset. The Season of the Deep quests are vital to the Deep Dive activities, and players will need to complete all steps from week 1 to week 3 to unlock the deepest level available in the Deep Dive activity. To get all of the plants, players just need to complete the first 3 weeks of the Season of the Deep quest withDeputy Commander Sloaneto freely go into the deepest levels of Deep Dives.
Players do not need to find these plants during the story version of these missions, as they will not be located nor will the unlock count. Players need to complete all three weeks of the Deep Dive story missions if they are to claim the treasures located in the Methane Sea.
Once players have completed the 3 weekly missions, players can venture to the H.E.L.M. to begin a Deep Dive activity. If players are to reach all three levels of the Deep Dive activity, they need to have a competent team that can complete the combat activities before the time limit runs out in thisDestiny 2Rougelite activity. These activities can be done in a private session, or matchmade, but they are not incredibly hard, so players should be able to get through the areas pretty quickly to locate the necessary plants and flora, with one of each being available on the three areas of Twilight, Midnight, and Abyss.
Twilight Plant Location
In Week 1 ofSeason of the Deep, players could access only the Twilight Depth. This is the most shallow area of the Deep Dive activity, and players will be faced with the easiest enemies yet. The Twilight Plant location is found almost immediately after embarking on the mission and after accepting Ahsa’s Gift and dropping down into the methane waters below.
Players need to travel through the introduction area, descending down and past the unlockable door. However, once the door is open, players will want to make sure they go through those air bubbles to keep their Pressure Resistance up and head down until they drop down and immediately see some bright yellow plants. These are a great indicator of where to go next.

Whilst facing the glowing yellow plants, players want to head into the small crack on the right, around the yellow plant, and then take another immediate right to find the Twilight Plant. This small yellow plant can be harvested for some Sonar XP and an aquarium collectible.
Twilight Flora Location
Immediately after finding the Twilight Plant, players want to drop down next to the Hive statue and follow through the cave until they reach the bottom, ranging around 1000 Meters in the Methane Sea. Players can keep going, venturing through the underwater sections and hitting air bubbles to make sure they don’t suffocate under the pressure.
However, once players reach the bottom of this area, they will see a closed door where the switch needs to be activated. Yet, they want to ignore this for now, and immediately turn around. Players can find the Twilight Flora for Sonar XP and a collectible plant at the bottom floor of the Twilight area, indicated by the glowing patch on the floor next to the strange hexagonal plant.
Midnight Plant Location
The Midnight Depth in the Deep Dive activity is unlocked after completing the Week 2 story. This depth will progress players along the Deep Dive activity, but only after they successfully complete the encounter of the Twilight area within the time limit needed. Maybe one of thebest Raid Exoticswill help ease the challenge in this area. The journey to the Midnight Plant begins after the first encounter, where players will be given more of Ahsa’s Gifts and venture into the Old Sunken Arcology.
Follow through the area, collecting air bubbles that will guide players through to their location. However, once they are faced with a large hole in the center, players do not want to drop down here, but instead follow to the right where there will be an open hatch for players to drop into.
Once dropping into this hatch, players can look to the ground and find the Midnight plant buried under the sand. Once again, players will be given a small burst of Sonar XP forthe Sonar Station Vendor, Glimmer, and the plant to tick off on their Triumph and added to their aquarium.
Midnight Flora Location
Continue through to the Midnight area, disabling the rotating fan obstacle and traveling further down until players reach 2000 Meters deep in the Methane Sea. This is followed directly down to the bottom of the area, so players want to keep dropping down until they see a tropical cluster of plants, indicated by the glowing pink plant with a long stem.

Behind this plant, players can find a glowing orange plant that has sharp petals. This is the final plant for the Midnight section, and players can once again add this to the collection for some neat rewards to help them add to their Sonar levels, and provide their fish with more decoration.
Abyss Plant Location
Once the week 3 Season of the Deep mission has been completed, players will unlock the final area of the Deep Dive activity. This final area will have the hardest content of enemies, and the Abyss level can be found after the Midnight level. This means that players need to complete both the Twilight and Midnight combat encounters to progress through to the Abyss depth area. Failing tocomplete both areas in the appropriate timemeans they will be teleported to the final boss rather than the Abyss section.
At 2750 Meters of the Methane Sea, players will collect yet another of Ahsa’s Gift, and drop down into the Methane Sea to the Abyssopelagic Abyss section. Players will land at 3500 Meters, and they will want to turn around from the blue door, hit activate on the switch located on the metal grate, and then find the Abyss Plant to the right of this switch.
Players can find the Abyss Plant in the sand, hiding with a brief glow showing its location. Players can harvest the Abyss Plant, and now, await just one more piece of Flora to claim that they have found all Plants and Flora of the Deep Dive activity inDestiny 2.
Abyss Flora Location
With just the Abyss Flora to go, players can continue through the area, following the air bubbles and vibrant glowing blue plants. Players can keep dropping down, reaching 4000 Meters below the Methane sea. Players will know they are at the right depth once they find an area to drop down, shown by the boxed drop point with blue lights on the walls.
Dropping down here, players want to continue through, following the plants until they see a raised piece of coral. Here, players will be able to harvest Abyss Flora for their aquarium, thus completing every Plant and Flora, and achieving the Aquarium Vivarium Triumph.
