Dead by Daylighthas added two new cosmetics inspired bySilent Hill 3to its game, one of which is for Cheryl Mason.Dead by Daylightplayers can obtain the outfits through purchasing them from the store using Auric Cells, an in-game currency obtained in exchange for real money.

The team behindDead by Daylightfirst collaborated with Konami in 2020 for its fourth anniversary, creating aSilent Hillchapter that saw Cheryl Mason andPyramid Head arrive in the realmof the Entity as playable characters. Alongside them came a map, Midwich Elementary School. More recently,Dead by Daylightannounced on Twitter that it would be adding two new cosmetics inspired bySilent Hill, with one of them goingto Cheryl Mason herself. The Princess Heart outfit is one of the more memorable outfits fromSilent Hill 3, and now it is coming toDead by Daylightas a cosmetic option. Alongside Cheryl’s new outfit comes a separate Princess Heart cosmetic for Feng Min, a character original toDead by Daylightwho is notorious for receiving an excessive amount of skins due to her popularity. Both cosmetics are now available to purchase directly fromDead by Daylight’s in-game shop.

While many fans were glad to see Cheryl Mason receive such an iconic cosmetic after going several months without any, some players have voiced their displeasure at seeing Feng Min receive yet another skin, having recently received her own S.T.A.R.S cosmetic alongsideResident Evil’s own Jill Valentine. While the in-game lore explaining Feng’s abundance of licensed cosmetics is that she simply enjoys cosplay and makes them herself, some unhappy fans have accused the team behindDead by Daylightof giving her excessive attention at the expense of other characters. However, it is highly likely that the revenue generated from the surplus of skins for Feng Min will also likely go towards futureDead by Daylightprojects and collaborations.

Regardless of whether they plan to purchase the skins or not, this will be good news to fans as it illustrates that Konami andDead by Daylight, who are alsocurrently working together onSilent Hill Ascension, will likely continue to collaborate on futureDead by Daylightcontent.

Dead by Daylightis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
