Now, CD Projekt Red revealed the patch notes for Update 2.1 ahead of its launch on December 5. While the update won’t be as significant as 2.0, it comes with several important changes, such as the introduction ofa fully-fledged Metro system inCyberpunk 2077. Night City’s Metro system was originally included in the game’s trailers but failed to appear in the release version. Now, the new Metro system will have 19 stations and 5 different lines. Another significant change is the introduction of new hangout events, in which V will be able to call romance partners to their apartments. The character’s interaction with the world will also be enhanced, and players will be able to sit down in bars, be pursued by gangs after taking an aggressive approach to them in certain main quests, and more.

The newCyberpunk 20772.1 update will also introduce elements like replayable car races, new options for cyberware, new vehicles, and tweaks in some parameters of specific weapons and abilities. Some bosses like Yasha Ivanov, Boris Ribakov, and Adam Smasher will be changed, too, and become more difficult. Other minor, yet important changes include more UI customization, and accessibility improvements, too, including a new accessibility tab. Finally, the update will also squash a few bugs and fix issues, mostly concerningPhantom Liberty, and improve performance in some aspects like lightning.

WhileCyberpunk 2077is still receiving updates, most of CD Projekt Red is already working on other projects, and one of them is the game’s sequel, calledProject Orionfor now. TheCyberpunk 2077sequel will use Unreal Engine 5, and it could feature a third-person view instead of a first-person one like its predecessor. At the moment, not much is known about the game, though, including its possible release window, or details about the story, meaning the release is probably still very far.
