On Reddit, a fan has shared a clip of Silverhand’s band, Samurai, performing a concert in a new ad for theCyberpunk 2077Xbox One controller. The camera circles Silverhand slowly as he grips his guitar with his silver, cybernetic arm, before he begins to shred and amp up and enthusiastic crowd. The Samurai concert footage is just 12 seconds long but has prompted fans to wonder just how much of the band they’ll get to see in the game.

One popular suggestion is that this clip is somehow a flashback. While Silverhand appears in the game as a hologram thanks to an implant in the player character, V’s, head, the legendary rocker died in 2020, decades before the events ofCyberpunk 2077. Silverhand managed to play one final Samurai gig before being killed while trying to rescue his girlfriend from the Arasaka building.

V is known to be a big fan of Samurai and Silverhand and a jacket with the band’s logo is just one of thecustomization optionsthat players will be able to select in the game. It’s possible that V could be watching footage of Samurai’s final gig, just for fun.

Keanu Reeves does have the second-most dialogue of anyCyberpunk 2077character, though he will not be doing any of his own singing in the game. This may be surprising to fans as Reeves has also had success as a musician, but getting to see him rock out, without his vocals, will likely be hugely enjoyable for those who love the actor.

It seems more likely that Cyberpunk 2077 will just show players what happened to Silverhand, and will not make them relive it or try to rescue the character in a canon-altering mission. However, fans will probably have many run-ins with the Arasaka Corporation of their own.Cyberpunk 2020creator Mike Pondsmith has teased avery coolCyberpunk 2077side missionfeaturing a member of the Arasaka family, something which could see players fight or make friends with Arasaka.

If players choose theCorpo lifepath for their version of V, it’s also possible that they’ll be cutting deals with Arasaka. Arasaka may have gunned down Johnny Silverhand, but for less sentimental players, the corporation could be a very powerful friend to have.

Cyberpunk 2077will be available September 17th for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and later for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
