PlayStation players can rejoice now thatCupheadgot a surprise release on the PlayStation 4. With its new release for the system, many new players will get to experience the challenges presented by this tough run and gunner.
When starting upCupheadfor the first time, some players may notice that certain sections of the different Inkwell Isles are closed off to Cuphead and Mugman until certain stages are complete. However, players can get a little more freedom in their choices if they discover the various hidden shortcuts that can be found on the overworld map.

Players should note that there are no shortcuts that can allow players to get pastKing Dice in the Dice Houseat the end of each Inkwell Isle. In order to get past King Dice, players are required to defeat every boss stage and collect all the contracts on their current level.
Inkwell Isle One
The first shortcut is in Inkwell Isle One to the right of the Ruse Of An Ooze boss level where players fight the slime, Goopy Le Grande. By walking right of the level start and following the path, players can take Cuphead underneath a natural bridge. After getting to the end of it, players can move right and down to get to the other side of the river without needing to defeat any levels.
On this side of the island, players can play the following levels:
Inkwell Isle Two
The shortcut on Inkwell Isle Two cannot be used off the bat like the previous shortcut. First, players must complete theSugarland Shimmylevel and defeat Baroness Von Bon Bon to open up the way to the path.
Next, players need to approach the level Aviary Action where they would normally fight Wally Warbles. Upon approaching close enough without starting the level, players should be able to go behind the bird house and continue right behind the range of mountains.
After following the hidden path all the way to the right, players will be able to fightGrim Matchstickearly in the level Fiery Frolic.
Inkwell Isle Three
Like with the previous shortcut, players will need to beat one of the levels before being able to access this skip. In this case, players will need to defeatRumor Honeybottomsin the level Honeycomb Herald. After her defeat, players will have access to the level Junkyard Jive, which is in a junkyard.
To the left of the level’s entrance, there is a crane that players can walk behind. If players were to walk behind it, then walk up, they will find themselves on the other side of the fence that was behind the crane. Continuing along this path will allow players to access Dramatic Fanatic early.
