This remaster comes with several visual enhancements and improvements, with the most prominent change being a completely different model for Peter Parker.

For example, one mod lets usersplay as Stan Lee in a Tuxedowhile another adds the suit fromThe Amazing Spider-Man 2. Now, a new mod lets users play as one of the most popular characters from Marvel Comics.

This mod allows users to play as Black Panther inMarvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredon PC. Created by a player named Zenny, it replaces the Ends of the Earth suit with Black Panther from theMarvel Contest of Championsmobile game. Fans can download the mod from Nexus Mods, which also features 11 images showing Black Panther in action.
Black Panther is not the first Marvel character to receive a costume mod inMarvel’s Spider-Manas fans canreplace Spider-Man with Daredevilwith the help of another mod. It won’t be surprising to see similar mods come up within the next few months featuring various characters from Marvel’s deep catalog. Although, they will likely function as different skins for Spider-Man, and fans should not expect a revamp of the gameplay, such as new animations and moves, based on the modded character.
One user on the Reddit post initially asks if Black Panther’s model is taken fromMarvel’s Avengers, but others correct them and state that it’s based onMarvel Contest of Champions. For those unaware, Marvel Contest of Championsis a fighting game that came out on iOS and Android in 2014. It features over 200 playable characters that are assigned to one of the game’s six classes.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredreceived positive reviewson launch, with many praising the quality of the PC port. It looks likeMarvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredis a sales success on PC as a report from the UK confirmed that it outsold the PC version ofGod of Warby 26%. This version was developed in collaboration with Nixxes Software, which had also worked with Guerilla Games onHorizon Zero Dawn’s PC port. Sony acquired Nixxes Software in July 2021 with the primary goal of releasing PlayStation games on PC.
