One player ofDisney Dreamlight Valleyhas found a smart way to bring the two movie versions ofThe Little Mermaid’s main heroine Ariel together in the life sim title. With the 2023 live-action of the film having just been released, it was only a matter of time untilcreativeDisney Dreamlightplayersput the two versions of the same character into their game.
InDisney Dreamlight Valley, Ariel is one of the game’s characters that players can unlock in the Valley early, but fans have to go through a series of quests before they gain access to the character. After they have done so, they will find the mermaid swimming through various bodies of water in the title’s different biomes. However, the version ofAriel inDisney Dreamlight Valleyis from the 1989 film, and given how popular the recent movie is, a fan probably could not help bringing in the 2023 live-action version into the Valley as well.

On Reddit, user emilyguarino101 usedDisney Dreamlight Valley’s character customization to dress up their in-game avatar as Halle Bailey’s version of Ariel. Fans will likely notice that the game’s Ariel is in her mermaid form, while the player’s character is in the live-action Ariel’s human form. Posing together using the photo feature ofDisney Dreamlight Valley, fans will likely be impressed by how emilyguarino101 dressed up their avatar, especially since she seems to have donned Bailey’s red locks, pink bandana, and a similar style of peasant blouse very well.
Though not the first todress up as Ariel inDisney Dreamlight Valley, fans will probably appreciate that the player used the 2023 live-action film’s Ariel as her source of inspiration for character customization. However, many noticed that the mermaid Ariel in the photo posed with strange, scary eyes and most of the comments on the thread seem to have fixated on how weird she looked. Nevertheless, other comments sent their love and appreciation for emilyguarino101’s efforts in making Bailey’s Ariel come to life inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
There are still other human characters in the2023 live-action version ofThe Little Mermaid, and fans will likely be making their own versions of them inDisney Dreamlight Valleysoon. Hopefully they take a lot of photos and share with fellow players online. Many in the fan base would probably love to see the live-action versions of Prince Eric, Ursula, and even Vanessa beside their in-game versions in the future.
Disney Dreamlight Valleyis available now for Mac, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
