For the longest time, theKingdom Heartsseries has had zero presence on Xbox platforms. That changed this year with the release ofKingdom Hearts 3, and next year, Square Enix will be going back further to bring all of the series’ various remastered collections to the Xbox One. This means that within a year’s time, Xbox loyalists will be able to purchase bothKingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMixandKingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologuewithout having to buy a PS4 first.

This is something that Xbox fans have been waiting for a long time. As much as they’ve been eager for the franchise to make its way onto their platform of choice, they weren’t altogether satisfied with just getting the finale to the storyline the series had been building up for the last 17 years. Understandably, there’s been hope that the rest of the story would someday be added, even thoughSquare Enix wasn’t sure if it would ever bring classicKingdom Heartsgames to Xboxas recently as last year.
