Summary

Capcomis once again teaming up with streamer FightinCowboy to announce its latest games and DLC in two video presentations, spread out over two non-consecutive days (on opposite sides of Daylight Savings Time). Following their collaboration on the Capcom Showcase in June 2023, this event promises to “provide the latest info on titles launching soon and give the world an update on the current state of Capcom.”

Capcomhas brought to market many well-known titles and franchises such asMega Man,Resident Evil, andDevil May Cry. Among its most iconic brands isStreet Fighter, the classic arcade 2D fighter that turns 37 years old in 2024. In addition, it is the company behind theMonster Hunterfranchise, now with a game available on mobile platforms. While not all of these titles are likely to be featured, there has been confirmation of what will be.

Airing on YouTube and Twitch,Capcom Highlightswill showcase updates to its games and company on March 7 and March 11, at 3PM PT both days. Each video is expected to last between 15-20 minutes. Day 1 game highlights will includeKunitsu-Gami: Path of the GoddessandDragon’s Dogma 2.Day 2 highlights will includeStreet Fighter 6,Exoprimal,Monster Hunter Stories, andMonster Hunter Now. March 7, 3PM PST

March 11, 3PM PDT

Hosting the two-day event will be FightinCowboy, a streamer well-known for hisElden Ringvideo guides. Capcom hand-picked him as a special guest to help spread the word. While his YouTube is currently a string ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthvideos, FightingCowboy hosted last June’s Capcom Showcase on his channel. Althoughfans may have disliked some announcements, the event was clearly a success if he is being asked back. Last year, the Showcase was done as part of FightinCowboy’s livestream on YouTube, and lasted 45 minutes. Capcom’s strategy this weekend is to break those into two shorter videos, but it is unknown if they will be pre-recorded.

Day 1 has two confirmed announcements -Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the GoddessandDragon’s Dogma 2are both titles for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. Day 2 of the event will feature more titles on a wider variety of systems, like theport ofMonster Hunter Storiesthat is coming to Switch, PC, and PS4 withMonster Hunter Nowas its only mobile title to be featured. Speculating from the art on the page alone, it would appear that yet another playable character may be joining theStreet Fighter 6roster soon as well.

All will be revealed March 7 and March 11. One last note from Capcom is that the dates and times for either or both videos “may change without notice,” so fans should keep that in mind.
