Call of Duty Zombieshas also been actively supported by DLC packs which help to expand on the story and lore of the multipleZombiestimelines such as theDark Aether story that began inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, some of the series' most revered maps are those that were available with each game at launch, a prime example being Kino der Toten which launched withCall of Duty: Black Opsin 2010. Players loading into the map are welcomed by a loading screen that references the map’s trademark teleporter as well as previousZombiesmaps fromCall of Duty: World at War. This loading screen inspired Reddit User VeryCoolYoutube to make a set of wooden art pieces based on the comic book panels seen in the loading screen.
VeryCoolYoutube describedCall of Duty: Black Opsas a “massive part” of their childhood gaming memories and was thus compelled to make these laser engravings. Kino der Toten continues to be fondly remembered by fans as it was accessible to all players and was also the first time that series staples like the Thundergun and Crawler Zombies appeared inCall of Duty Zombies. The love for this map remains strong long after its release, and Treyarch has capitalized on this nostalgia by including Kino der Toten as one of the maps featured in theZombie Chronicles DLC forCall of Duty: Black Ops 3.

There is still plenty of love for older and newerZombiesmodes and shows that even ifCall of Dutymay not reach the sales numbers it had at its height, it is far from dead in the hearts and minds of fans old and young.
