Whenever Infinity Ward releases a big update forCall of Duty: Warzone, there’s usually some hidden changes not mentioned by the patch notes. The big mid-season update forCall of Duty: Warzonehas made a number of secret changes to the game, with one proving to be quite popular with fans.

After downloading theWarzoneSeason 4 Reloaded update, fans of the popular battle royale will notice a big difference with their killfeed. Now when players get longshot kills inWarzone, the game tells them the distance of their shot. While it may not seem like a significant change to some players, those who primarily use snipers inWarzonewill definitely appreciate it, as it gives them a better idea of just how impressive their shots are.

Besides tweaking the killfeed, the latestWarzoneupdate made some other changes that should please snipers in the game. The biggest addition is theRytec AMR sniper rifle, a devastatingly powerful weapon that players can add to their arsenal right now. Players can unlock the Rytec AMR by completing a challenge in the game, or they can simply purchase its bundle from the in-game store if they so desire.

Meanwhile, a new equipment item added toWarzoneis also shaking things up a bit for snipers. The Spotter Scope lets players look long distances without giving away their position with a sniper lens flare like they normally would. Players can then mark enemies with the Spotter Scope and take aim with their snipers, giving unaware opponents far less of a chance to take cover or fight back.

It remains to be seen exactly how fans will react to things like theSpotter Scopeand Rytec AMR. The Rytec AMR has already been accused of being an overpowered weapon, so it’s possible Infinity Ward will nerf it in a future patch. The Spotter Scope seems like a relatively inoffensive addition to theWarzoneequipment lineup, so it’s unlikely that any major changes will be made to it in the future.

As far as the killfeed change goes,Warzonefans can expect that to stay in the game as well, but the killfeed itself may get more enhancements at some point. TheWarzonemid-season update patch notesnoted that the killfeed also announces team wipes to the entire squad now, so Infinity Ward and Raven Software are consistently improving it.
