Summary
Call of Duty: Warzonedataminers have unearthed an image of the returning Rebirth Island map. Fans might already be familiar with the map’s approaching return after previousCall of Duty: Warzoneannouncements confirmed as much.
In October, Activision announced thatFortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island would return toWarzonein 2024. Fortune’s Keep was already added in February with the launch of Season 2 and previous leaks suggested that Rebirth Island would be added in Season 3, which is expected to begin in early April. The impending return of the small, popular map seems increasingly likely after new datamining discoveries.
Call of Dutydataminer BKTOOR5 found a loading screen for Rebirth Island within the game’s files. The image shows the outer edge of the map, and it seems that its second iteration will incorporate some changes from the original design. Most notably, there seems to be smoke rising from the map’s Prison POI, suggesting that an explosion or some other event has taken place in the center of the map. It’s unclear from the image whether the new Rebirth Island will include as many changes as the recent return ofWarzone’s Fortune’s Keep. However, users probably shouldn’t be surprised if it does, asCall of Dutyoften incorporates new features or changes to spice up returning maps.
Rebirth Island Possibly Returning to Warzone in Season 3
Rebirth Island’s return with the Season 3 update seems likely after previousCall of Dutyleaks found multiple mentionsof files tagged with “s3_rebirth.” However, it’s important to note that this addition has not been confirmed and delays or misunderstandings are always possible.
