Call of Duty: WarzoneSeason 5 will be ending in a few weeks, and while many are looking forward to Season 6, some are worried about losing access to Season 5’s game modes. Fortunately,Call of Duty: Warzonefans are in luck, as one of the new modes will be preserved via custom games.

Iron Trials 84 was added alongside Clashas part of Season 5 Reloaded. While the latter essentially serves as a massive version of Team Deathmatch with minor battle royale elements, the former is a more difficult version of the regular battle royale experience. Health regen is reduced significantly while players have over twice as much health, guaranteeing that gunfights are longer and take more resources. Stuns and stims are nerfed and buy station prices are more expensive. Loot is harder to find, too, and both Dead Silence and Stopping Power are removed.

WhileIron Trials requires different loadoutsand some fresh strategies to succeed in, this has made it a breath of fresh air for manyCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers. Though the mode demands that those playing are experienced with the regular gameplay loop, many have put a lot of time into the battle royale game over the last year. As such, veteran players and content creators have taken to Iron Trials, with many hoping that it would stay around permanently. Fortunately, it seems like that may happen.

Popular YouTuber JGODreached out to Raven Software to learn if Iron Trials would be making its way to Custom Games. Before long, he got his answer, as the developer responded with confirmation that Iron Trials 84 will be coming to Custom Games. The developer did not specify a date for its arrival, as it only stated that it will not be ready for tomorrow’s update. Still, the news that it will be coming at all is reassuring for those that like the mode and the many changes it makes.

While this is good news for those that were calling for Iron Trials to be permanent, fans will only see it as a features playlist for one more week. Come September 30, Iron Trials Duos will be removed from rotation, with a Duos playlist featuring traditional rules likely to take its place. As such,Call of Duty: Warzonefansshould grab a friend and enjoy the featured version while they still have the chance, as it could be a while before it makes its debut in Custom Games.

It will be interesting to see what Season 6 brings in terms of featured playlists. While it will be tough to top Iron Trials,All Hallow’s Eve is coming, which means the fan favorite Zombie Royale mode may soon be playable once again.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
