Season 5 ofCall of Duty: Modern WarfareandWarzonebegins tomorrow, and to prepare players for the immense amount of content coming their way, Activision released details on what they can expect. There are new maps, new Operators, as well as two new free weapons for players to get their hands on.
It’s launch week for Season Five ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfareand the game is about to get loaded with new content. Starting tomorrow, the Battle Pass system is giving out both the ISO SMG (Tier 15) and the AN-94 assault rifle (Tier 31) to players inModern WarfareandWarzone,who can earn them simply by playing the game. This is in addition to emblems, stickers, calling cards, skins, and blueprints – there are over 20 Tiers of free content included with the Battle Pass.

The game’s official website went into further detail on the two new weapons, providing a brief explanation on how they handle and how best to use them:
ISO SMG (Free Battle Pass System Weapon)
A precision-crafted 9mm submachine gun with a rapid rate of fire. Lightweight, reliable, and compact, this is designed to control the battlefield at close ranges.
AN-94 AR (Free Battle Pass System Weapon)
A cutting edge 5.45x39mm Russian assault rifle with a unique hyperburst feature: The initial shot of a full-auto volley is followed up by an instantaneous second round before significant recoil is felt. This creates a tightly grouped cluster of shots with increased damage potential. The mechanism is fed by a canted magazine and a reciprocating receiver helps control the recoil.
This is just the tip of the very large iceberg of content, however. Players on PS4 canpre-load theModern WarfareSeason 5 update nowto see just how large, as the file is quite big. Once the new season begins, the game will see new maps be available, which include multiplayer maps and updates to previous ones. Stadium is among those seeing a major change. Since launch, players have wondered what’s inside, butWarzone’sstadium is opening upand now they will be able to drop in and check it out for themselves.
With Season 5, players can also look forward to a new multiplayer mode and a new Operator as well, and that’s just during launch week. During the rest of the season, even more content will roll out. For those who want to see some of what Activision is offering in action, the company released a new trailer to hype players up for the new season. The trailer is meant to show off the new update and its content, but there may be more to it than initially thought. According to one fan who viewed the trailer, it may have alsoteased five-man squads inWarzone. That would be one more than the current limit, which would be a big change for the title.
