Fans gathered together on the officialCall of Duty 2020teaser website expecting a full reveal, instead, more clues and a mysterious video played adding to the long trail of clues to a full release.Call of Dutystreamers, news sites, and theorists worked for hours to try and solve the puzzle in hopes of a glimpse at the reveal trailer.
After finding tons of secret ciphers scattered around aroom inWarzone’sfarmhouse, players set to solving the puzzles. First noticed by viewers on varying streams, players soon drew attention to strange videos posted a month ago that matched the new puzzle. It appeared that someone had already solved all the ciphers, and told no one of their success.

Around a month ago, data miners discovered some strange ciphers in the game files. Unsure of where they go or what they were for, they unveiled them to fans on the web and received very little attention for it. It appears that one fan did notice and spent the next few weeks slowly working out how each of the strange puzzles work. In a series offive differentCall of Dutycipher videos, players can watch the puzzle fan slowly work their way through each step. To make this entire situation stranger, the YouTube account only has a few videos on it and their Twitter handle leads to a creative studio called Activ.
The strange account has answers to all the ciphers, but upon closer inspection some of the answers are wrong. It appears that the solutions are based on a more complex algorithm then even the mystery puzzle solver was able to account for. They did seem aware of it, noting that “Venona cipher pad keys are personal to the player every game.”
When a playerloads into a game ofWarzonethey are assigned a number on the bottom right of the screen. It appears that the number of that game determines the codes that would work. Players will need to input the code into the cipher, break it down to a solution, and then use that to unlock the doors scattered across the map.
The video poster labeled out five distinct puzzles.VENONA, LAMBDA &F, CHEM, PSG, NIXSTACK, and NIXCHARGEall are clearly labeled in the game hints. Players are now theorizing that every day from here on out Activision will be providing keys and clues to the varying puzzles to aid the community in solving this complex spy game.
