Bojack Horsemanaired its last episodes over three years ago when it released the latter half of its sixth season onNetflix. Though it hasn’t been that long since the show ended, Amy Sedaris, who voiced Bojack’s super agent Princess Carolyn all six seasons, expressed her interest in resuming the story.
Sedaris explained that because of how invested she became inBoJack Horseman’s characters, she would be interested in seeing where their lives are years after everything that transpired on theNetflixshow. However, she didn’t specify if shewants the reboot soonor if it would be sometime down the line.

Sedaris explained why she wants to do aBoJack Horsemanreboot and how that could be pulled off while talking withComicBook.com. “You really do want to see them again,” Sedaris said. “Like I felt that way withStrangers With Candy(one of Sedaris' earlier projects), but you always kind of do want a reunion type show, especially if it took placein a high schoolbecause there are 10-year and 20-year anniversaries. But you do want to…invest so much into these characters, and you’re always like, ‘Well, where are they?'”
WhenBoJack Horsemanwas wrapping up, Princess Carolyn was a newlywed about to embark on a new journey with her new beau and ex-assistant, Judah Mannowdog. Mr. Peanutbutter was continuing his next TV project as the main character on his new show, “Birthday Dad.” Diane Nguyen had settled into her new life as an accomplished author in Houston with her new husband, Guy. Then there was Bojack finishing up his prison stint after losing everything. The show left it open-ended regarding whether Bojack would pick up the pieces or he would indulge his self-destructive tendencies again.
To this day,Bojack Horsemanis not only one of thebest shows Netflix has ever produced, but it’s also one of the best animated series of all time because of how fresh it was in its brutally honest portrayal of the Hollywood lifestyle. It was a show about consequences and how life’s issues aren’t solved in 22 minutes like they would on a sitcom. Because the series ended on more of a “life goes on” note than anything else, there could potentially be more material to go off of. Though the show hinted at it, fans would like to see if Bojack truly became a better person like he always aspired to be, especially after the dark times he went through.
But why mess with something that worked so well?Bojack Horseman’s finale was as good as it was because its message fit the show’s tone. Whether you have the best day of your life or the worst, there’s always the day after that. When the show ended, Bojack got his comeuppance for his previous bad deeds shortly after finally finding his inner peace. Now it was on him to see if he can keep that going by getting hiscareer back on track and managing his alcoholism. While it would be cool to see how he and everyone else are doing, sometimes it’s best to leave it up to our imagination.
