7Reign of Sword - New Weapons Pack
New Swords And Crafting Pieces
This mod forMount & Blade 2: Bannerlordadds some new swords andcraftingcomponents to the base game. The mod author has tried to keep them balanced, whilst ensuring that they all have some value. All of the new weapons should be available for purchase from vendors in Battania and Vlandia.
The mod comes with instructions on how to edit the XML files and tweak the stats and cost of the new weapons, for people who want to fine-tune these new weapons. Although this is a pretty simple mod, it works well and deserves a place on this list.
6Equip Best Item
Helping Choose The Best Armor And Weapons
This mod significantly enhances the quality of life for players ofMount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. It applies to both armor and weapons in the game. With an abundance of excellent items available for looting, it can be challenging to determine which ones are best to equip. This mod addresses that issue.
Upon installation, the mod modifies the inventory user interface, prompting the player to equip superior items compared to those currently in use. A variety of filters can be set, and certain items can be locked to prevent them from being replaced.
5Spear Rework
Making Spears Work
A common complaint withMount & Blade 2: Bannerlordplayers, is that spears are pretty worthless. This mod aims to solve this problem. It makes some intelligent changes to the way spears work, aiming to make them a viable weapon forlarge-scale battles.
The damage of spears has been increased slightly, and the weight has been lowered. The mod also fixes the problem of spears not doing damage from behind when the target is holding a shield in front of them. Overall, this mod is a fantastic addition, as it makes the possibility of fielding a proper shieldwall viable.
4Vlandian Knight’s Lances Redux
Adds Cavalry Lances
This is a small, elegant mod forMount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. All that this mod does, is add cavalry lances to the game. Now, this may sound simple and indeed it is, but it opens up a whole host of new tactical options for suitably equipped riders.
This version of the mod was based on an older mod that is no longer maintained by the original mod author. It also adds the ability to attach a pennon to a lance. Sometimes, small is better, and this mod is a good example of this.
3Beefier Bows
Cosmetic Improvements To Bows
This is a cosmetic mod forMount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. It takes many of the original bow models, and adds some flesh to them, as they were very thin and skinny in the original game. It makesarcher troopslook more realistic.
Several bow models have been reworked as well, to improve their curvature, and also make them slightly longer. Sure, this mod doesn’t add any new features to the game, but it does make bow combat look more realistic. Considering how easy this mod is to install, and the fact it can’t conflict with other mods, it deserves a place on this list.
2Hero’s Custom Weapons Mod
Crafted Weapons For Sale In Shops
This is a pretty clever little mod forMount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. All it does, is change the game’s configuration files to make all player-craftable weapons into store-purchasable items as well. Some players will no doubt find this mod pointless, as they are naturally crafters.
However, there are many players who don’t enjoy crafting, but would still like to be able to obtain the craftable weapons sets. This mod gives them a way to facilitate this. A great little mod for thismilitary strategy game, and well worth a place on this list.
1Hayster’s Armoury
Overhauling Forge Crafting
This mod forMount & Blade 2: Bannerlordtakes the top spot on this list because it adds a major new feature to the game. In the shape of a forge, that players can use to craft almost every weapon and armor piece in the game.
This is a pretty complex mod, and it may conflict with other mods, especially if a player has added mods with additional armor and weapons. A good idea would be to install this mod first, and then begin adding other weapon/armor mods to find out if Hayster’s Armoury still works alongside them.
