Fans ofAssassin’s Creedcan look atAssassin’s Creed Originsfor a glimpse at the iconic franchise’s history. The game follows the story of Bayek of Siwa, a Medjay in Egypt that would become a member of the Hidden Ones and join their conflict against the Order of the Ancients. And despite the game’s early setting, this remains anAssassin’s Creedstory. In turn, Bayek’s outfit and appearance not only affect how awesome he looks in combat but how others look at him as well.

Thankfully,Assassin’s Creed Originsoffers a lot of different looks of Bayek for players to choose from, including armor that could help define his appearance as a clandestine warrior working for the Ancient Ones. Which armor in the game looks best at Bayek?
10Bathhouse Towel
Appealing more for its creative implications and meme potential, theBathhouse Toweloutfit is acquired by completing the “End of the Snake” quest. This armor is as exactly as it sounds, with Bayek wearing only a bath towel to cover his lower body and a long towel as a hood and cover for his left arm.
Although not as “bare” as the name implies, the Bathhouse Towel outfit does pose ahilarious situation. After all, it could be humorous seeing Bayek finish the entire story campaign wearing only a bath towel, as though he’s been bothered in the middle of the bath and saved Thebes from certain doom precisely to get back to his relaxation.
9Desert Cobra
Acquired via the “Desert Cobra Pack” DLC, theDesert Cobraoutfit has a design reminiscent of the desert cobra, one of the fiercest animals in the desert. Although Bayek wears an ordinary cloth tunic, cloth pants, and sandals with leather wrappings as his undergarments, the armor shines in its exterior accessories.
At its core, the Desert Cobra armor has a hood with small tendrils emanating from the side and an opening reminiscent of a cobra opening its jaws, with matching snake eyes on top of the headpiece as well as fangs in place of the signatureAssassin Orderhood tip. What’s more interesting is how both the hood and the armor’s tailcoat are seemingly made out of snakeskin, evident in the scale pattern.
8Pharaoh’s Regalia
Players familiar with Egyptianculture and historywould remember the Pharaoh as the symbolic god-king of Ancient Egypt, and Bayek can experience such glory through thePharaoh’s Regaliapiece. Acquired through the “Undead Pack” DLC, the Pharaoh’s Regalia emphasizes style over function on some levels.
Aside from the iconic golden pharaoh headpiece, the Pharaoh’s Regalia is marked with items considered expensive in ancient times. These include a fur scarf, silk chest details, as well as a tailcoat with a rather exquisite pattern. Even Bayek’s undergarments seem to be made of comfortable felt, with his bracers more decorative than protective in design.
7Revenge Of Anubis
One of three Anubis-themed armors in the game, theRevenge Of Anubisis without a doubt the most iconic of the outfits. Acquired by completing either the “Trial Of The Gods” or a hard difficulty trial of Sekhmet, Sobek, or Anubis four times, this armor represents the darkness associated with the Egyptian Lord of the Dead.

Unlike the other Anubis armors, the Revenge Of Anubis piece israther grisly. Bayek’s skin is transformed into wet dark red from the blood of his enemies, with the same blood smeared all over the vestment’s black-burgundy aesthetic. The Anubis mask that Bayek wears is black but now reddened with blood. More befitting a horror game, the Revenge Of Anubis armor is Bayek saying he’s not one to trifle with.
6Vestment Of Horus
Outfitted as though a manifestation of Horus himself, theVestment Of Horusis as foreign as it is deadly as an attire. Acquired via the “Horus Pack” DLC, the Vestment Of Horus is a reference to the Egyptian God Horus who dominates the sky and is regarded as one of the most important members of the Egyptian pantheon.
It’s perhaps due to the divine status of Horus that the Vestment Of Horus equallyshares a unique appearance. Marked by a falcon-shaped head to signify the deity, the outfit is fitted with blue robes, a white under-robe, and golden accessories - befitting colors associated with Horus. Bayek roaming around in this outfit sets himself apart from typical civilians, especially with the divine iconography he’s wearing.
5Persian Prince
One of the best armors that Bayek could wear in the game is thePersian Prince, acquired from the in-game tailor. Set to be worn by a warrior prince, this regalia is marked by a red robe of thick cloth lined with gold accents. The armor also comes with chest armor, bracers, cuisses, and greaves of obvious Persian metallurgy. Bayek’s face is hidden well with a purple cloth, a color of royalty.
Despite its rather simple appearance, it’s the armor’s description that makes it extra special. Upon inspection, the game says this armor is a remnant of Persian history. Not only that but it’s worn by a prince as fast as the wind. This could perhaps be areference to thePrince Of Persia, one of Ubisoft’s most iconic franchises, with platforming mechanics that served as a basis ofAssassin’s Creed’s parkour system.
4Persian Commander
Another armor that could be acquired from the in-game tailor is thePersian Commander, acquired for 2,000 drachmae. The armor is described as that worn by leaders of the Persian army, with its strong purple color bearing a symbolism of leadership.

Despite being almost a palette swap of the Persian Prince, the Persian Commander is by far the most elegant-looking of all Persian armors out there. It doesn’t boast thesame athletic design aestheticas the more open and free-flowing armors in the game. Rather, its main purple robe is paired with a pristine white fiber to cover the face and the waist, white bracers for the arms, and a beautiful rose gold chest piece, cuisses, and greaves. Of all the purchasable armors in the game, the Persian Commander is easily the most stylish.
3Mummy
The mummy has served as one of the most popular associations with Ancient Egypt, and the concept is taken with high regard in the context of the ancient culture’s reverence towards the afterlife. Players who can spend 500 helix credits or get their hands in some Heka chests can acquire theMummy, arguably one of themore sinister-lookingoutfits in the game.
Characterized with Bayek being almost totally wrapped in bandages save for his toes and fingers, the Mummy outfit evidently looks dusty and ancient, as though Bayek had just risen from the dead. This is evident in the glowing red eyes on his totally-covered face. However, what makes the Mummy outfit rather interesting is how it stuck with theAssassin’s Creedcolor scheme, that of a majorly-white garment with red accents.
2Isu Armor
The Isu is an ancient civilization responsible for the creation of human civilization, andOriginsis the closest game in terms of the timeline to be connected to the civilization at large. As such, it makes sense for theIsu Armorto contain both a fusion of futuristic technology with a sleek aesthetic that could still blend with a rather more sophisticated Ancient Egypt.
The Isu Armor could be acquired by finishing all Stone Circles and then triggering the final Ancient Mechanism. The armor is characterized by a rather simplistic red cloth armor with white and black details, with leather boots and accessories. What sets the Isu Armor apart is its helmet, chest piece, shoulder guards, and bracers, all of which have glowing yellow patterns.
1Servant Of Amun
Amun serves as a major deity in Egyptian mythology. The king of the gods and the upholder of justice, Amun champions the poor. Such was his status that he was fused with the sun god Ra to transform into Amun-Ra. Also the patron god of Thebes, it makes sense for Amun to have priests who worship him be outfitted with garments worthy of the name.
Called theServant Of Amunarmor, this outfit is acquired by completing the “Shield or Blade” quest in “The Curse of the Pharaohs” DLC. This attire is iconic for its appearance alone, marked with a strong emphasis on black garments with golden details. Not only that, but a golden mask perfectly hides Bayek’s face from the public, equating him in status to the elite priests ofthe vast city.
Assassin’s Creed Originswas released in October 2017 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, and Google Stadia.
